Trav i like this content, as Canadian history is amazing as any history is amazing. To all the great people as well who lost their lives while building the tracks across Canada! This is great for them to get the respect they well deserved!! 💚💚💚🇨🇦 Happy Canada Day

That's not what I would call a chateau, more like a village. Thanks, Trav, awesome once again. Off topic here, but I just returned from Montana, I've never been surrounded by so much natural beauty, but Trav, Lake Louise certainly comes close.

We've stayed here once, but we've eaten here many times. We also have hiked up to the tea house and canoed on the stunning lake. The grounds are beautiful and Lakeview Lounge has a wonderful lunch and dinner menu. It's definitely worth spending the night, if you can get over the price!! The good thing is if you're just visiting for lunch, dinner, or just a walk about, there is a good amount of free parking. Just a heads up, if you don't have a park pass, the "park pass police" have been known to stake out the car park looking for those who have not purchased either a day pass or yearly pass!!! We've seen them there and luckily we had our yearly pass :)

Great video of one Canada’s premier resort hotels. I hadn’t visited lake Louise for almost 40 years, when I was a teen. But I did get back there in Sept 2017, and actually had lunch in that grand dining room with the view. I also went to visit lake Moraine, just a few km, from there, which I had never seen before, and wow, the stunning view, just like the old back of the Canadian $20 bill, which unfortunately isn’t around anymore. Unfortunately, you’re too young to remember that old bill.😉

Loving the series Trav. I really like the historical perspective you are including in the series. It really is highlighting just how beautiful Canada is. One question, when you guys went hiking the trails what shoes did you wear? Odd question but I’m buying shoes now for a family visit in December/January so it’s great to hear from a local. I’m looking forward to your next video in the series! Cheers

Funny how so many railway hotels burned down conveniently making way for a new grander hotel. The Chateau Lake Louise is one of the Western RR hotels we’ve never stayed at because of the cost. It is ridiculously overpriced. They’re all expensive but when we were travelling the mountains, Banffsprings had far more to offer, like indoor outdoor pools and many restaurants to choose from. We did many hikes in the area. Absolutely gorgeous. Our last few hikes we started bringing garbage bags to pick up litter ignorant tourists left behind.

I could not agree more. Chateau Lake Louise is fine being visited, but not staying at. Thanks for watching my friend, you should check out the other episodes in my railway hotel series across canada covering the story of our country, the passenger service that no longer exists and how the railway hotels built it!

@@trav4oilers That is the one I watched yesterday (Monday). OMG...WOW 🤩🤩🤩 I gave that one a 5+ on my list, it is incredible!! Crazy that of all places Saskatoon's comes up the best in my opinion! I've seen Calgary, Lake Louise, Saskatoon, Vancouver, Winnipeg and Banff, I have Toronto and Quebec yet to watch. Not sure if there are any more in the series.

Sick. I love the history twist, has a bald and bankrupt (youtuber) feel to it. Maybe break up the history lesson and spread it out through parts of the video? Either way I think these videos have high potential, probably a lot of cool stuff around Canada, looking forward to the others

Funny enough I actually am metis. not full blown status. I think a lot of people bringing that into a video like this would make it feel forced or preechy, if it fits I'd love to expand more (and do in the Fort Garry episode) and hope you love the whole series :)
