But if a government coup were to succeed and restart a dictatorship, that would in fact, affect foreigners too. Luckily both major political parties united in squashing the marshal law decree, and the military acted calmly and in a deescalating way, rather than in an aggressive way (as they also didn't really know what was going on, and we just forced to be there in the middle of it) - I heard that from a Korean citizen in the KZbin channel Asian Boss' video on it.
