I thought of doing this, need to get some camo netting to do some stealth camps myself. Best camo is that people simply not expecting you to be there so they just don't look. That works way better than it should.
@CampingwithCraig7 ай бұрын
Do it! Yeah I think the same, who really is staring directly into the roundabout?… well to be fair I do when I see one but only to see if I can spend the night on it another time haha.
@sallybutton62377 ай бұрын
As you say Craig, drivers are far too busy checking their route & hopefully driving mindfully to care what a random guy with a backpack is doing & where he is going. I see far too many stealth campers totally panic & freak out about not being seen as they enter the roundabout but in all honesty there’s no need. I’ve been driving for over thirty years & I can tell you I might catch a quick peripheral glimpse of you as you walk over to the roundabout & that’s it, I certainly wouldn’t wonder where you’re going or why, I have my mind on my own business as does everyone else. Your videos are great. I’m a 61 year old lady that winds down before I retire by watching stealth camping video channels & yours is one of the best, I enjoy your chit chat. I know what you mean by “that smell” when it rains, it’s one of my favourites too. Chips from the Chinese are weird, they have no idea how to cook good chips 😁 Good luck with your further adventures, I look forward to each one 👍😎 btw, I’ve been watching the Eurovision Song Contest since the early 1960’s as a child, we all sat round & watched it as a family night together so nice to hear you do the same with your loved ones. I believe the very first one was in the mid 1950’s 🤔
@CampingwithCraig7 ай бұрын
Yeah that’s the thing, most people aren’t aware or even care what else is going on around them! My main concern is not creating a car accident, and if no one sees me that’s a bonus. I live in a small town so I always imagine they’d be a higher chance of someone reporting me purely from a welfare perspective haha. I’m glad you enjoy my content! Not terribly sure why people enjoy me chatting nonsense but I’l take it all the same! As for Chinese chips, I think it’s just punishment for having the audacity to order them, not that it stopped me 😬. We enjoy Eurovision for what it is, but I’m sure it’s very far removed from how it began! 😬 Thanks for taking the time to comment! 😀

It's funny seeing your hometown and area you live on KZbin though. 🙂 You must be slightly mad though to want to camp where you do... I'll be sticking to the woods and quiet places though. Though I am intrigued to where you end up next. Stay safe and well. Mike

Hi! I still have it, but it’s just a touch too small for me, that’s why a got the highlander XL but it doesn’t come in the camo ☹️. Late to the party on this one buddy. Everyone seems to love a stealth camp on a roundabout. The choice of clothing was questionable for a stealth camp, especially the yellow cap 😂 I use camo nets often and i think if you'd have put the camo netting across like a fence screen from tree to tree you may have benefited better. Doubt anyone would notice you whilst they were driving around a roundabout, they simply aint looking for you. Good video 🫡
@CampingwithCraig6 ай бұрын
Yeah it’s a popular thing for sure! That’s why I had to get in on it too haha. I had experimented with the camo net but on top of the tent seemed to work best where I was in the end. Thanks for the comment!
