when i play this theres certain things i let just sell out and dont bother searching to restock it cause its a slow selling item, then theres things i constantly check to make sure they never are off the shelves because theyre either high priced, they sell alot, people dont complain about the price of it much or at all, or its a combination of all three. for example dishwashing tablets. I watch to make sure that shelf never hits zero, once i see its down to like 3 i buy another box and restock it. ive had them sitting at $26 and no one complains or doesnt buy it and its always flying off the shelf. things like cheese and eggs i dont bother checking on till i see someone say they couldnt find it then i go restock it because they take longer to sell out, and people will out right not buy them if the price isnt what they want. so theyre sitting there not generating much money for me. i just set the p[rice at a good price most wont complain about then forget about them. it doesnt make sense for me to focus on it at all till i happen to walk by and see its out or i see someone say its out. cereal is like an in between at my shop i kinda keep an eye on it but not as much as the dishwashing tablets cause i noticed its popularity fluctuates. sometimes its a hot item then sometimes that shelf stays full cause its not selling. Anything alcohol, like the beer kegs i sell those are hot too, high price and theyre always flying off the shelf so i stay stocking those and i keep a stash of them in storage. beer kegs, bleach, toilet paper, dish washing tablets, those i buy like 1-3 extra boxes of and keep them in storage cause i know theyre going to sell out by days end every day, even the surplus will be gone. other items dont even have a shelf in my storage cause they take DAYS to fully sell out and i dont need to bother with them till someone says they cant find it. you dont have to watch every item you sell constantly just notice whats your hot ticket items especially the ones that are priced high and focus those. the other little stuff just stock it once you see someone couldnt find it. also you gotta think of your inventory being money instead of just food. anything sitting on the shelf is potential money that you havnt made yet, so if you constantly try to keep every shelf stocked fully every second your taking money out of your pocket and turning it into potential money that you cant do nothing with. its better to focus on the hot items and the other stuff is just kinda there for if ppl want it. im currently sitting on $106k in my bank that i dont really need to use lol. Also try to not have ALOT of ppl complaing about high prices cause heres the thing, its better they buy it at a 0.50 lower price than you keep it higher and they dont buy it at all. again its potential money. thats why IRL stores have price matching policies cause theyd rather discount those headphones from 300 to 250 and sell it to you than you go to another store and give that store that 250. cause now not only did they not make that 300 from the original price they didnt make that 250 either, they made 0 off you. oh last thing MAKE A SELF CHECK OUT. i have part of my store labeled self check out with like 6 machines, it makes it so much easer to then focus on managing the store and shelves and bonus you dont have too pay an employee. people check themselves out and i can close my counter to check inventory then open it again when im done making my rounds. sorry for the wall of text lol i just want traitor joes to be great! love ya player! eughh🤙🤙
