I stopped Dosing Fertilizer in my planted tank & this happened

This video talks about Aquarium fertilizers . How over time u dont need external fertilizers . Plants & fish in the aquarium create a stable equilibrium. The waste coming from fish feeds plants and plants in return act as their refuge.

When you do your water changes are you using tap water?

Yes , my tap water is pretty fine for use . KH 3 , TDS 130 & PH 7.8

@@aquahobby1982 Wow that's pretty amazing, my water our of the tap has between 8-9kh and 9-10kh and pH 7.2 that's why I am currently using RO water, my plants and fish seem to be happier under softer water, I just can't change the water so often because it gets pretty expensive, thank you for the response 🙂

@@Sinserg thats really challenging. But u can still use that tapwater in ur planted tank. U just need to b selective about the plants. Plants like amazon sword , vals , crypt & anubias will do fine. Plants have the capability to consume carbonate from water as co2 source. Google " biogenic decalcification ". Also , if u r using RO, i'll simply suggest to use more stem plants instead of epiphytes. Stem plants grow super fast and take out nutrients naturally from water. Also keeping bioload less will also help in not changing water frequently.

@@aquahobby1982 Funny enough, I never do any water changes and my bio load in theory should crash my tank. But, im loaded with anacharis, pearlweed and bacopa that is just starting to grow.

I'll not suggest anyone, to chase after certain parameters like TDS in the hobby. Unless ur TDS is crazy high (ex 700 or beyond ), u should b able to grow plants,
