THIs seems much more time consuming than a pivot table. But worth a try.

Advantage of the pivot table: faster to create and you can double-click a value to see what it's made of. Finally, mastering the list of arguments of pivotby seems hard. Disadvantage of pivot table: if you create multiple tables from the same range the tables might synch even if you don't want them to.

@@arturmusialak8704 I would prefer not to go through this very clunky, inflexible approach for the sake of saving one click! Personal preferences I suppose, but I can't see anything in this clip that will move me away from Pivot tables.

One very big benefit is, that this Pivotby is updated on every data change and your default pivot is not.

a Bit complicated , but the only advantage I see is the automatic update , in Pivot table you have to refresh after each change , not in Pivotby function .

I Wonder what the value of This is. Wirhout testing anything, it seems like it could be Used to create dropdown lists and dictionaries for less-Advanced users like myself. I would actually be happy if someone told me why i am wrong!
