I’m a nurse practitioner and I believe that mental illness is real. I believe that you can take medication until you build up faith and be healed. I also know that whom God sets free is free INDEED! You don’t encounter God and remain the same, never! He is not a man that he should lie. It’s ok not to be ok. It’s ok to get help. For all of you guys that were on a pill I was on many too one was invega for bipolar. I got freed from it. I had demons of mental illness in me. Was addicted to drugs, manic mood swings, depressed, suicidal, anxiety, rage, you name it. Once I got delivered from these demons I grew all the fruits of the spirit never did drugs and all my mental health was healed. Thank you Jesus. Jesus delivered many people with a demon of mental illness in the gospels of the New Testament. Not all mental illness is demonic but a good amount is. Say this prayer God break any generational curses in my life if there is any in Jesus name. Should everyone should stop taking medicine no. Fast and praying is important because some demons won’t leave without fasting and praying.

Lord Jesus don't judge him because he's saved. It's important that we don't let the unsaved go around thinking the same thing. The unsaved need to come to Jesus with saving faith, and then they can say the same thing. Although we must all give an account to Him, we who are saved have passed from death to life.

Jesus said certain demons won’t go out without fasting and prayer. “[But this kind of demon does not go out except by prayer and fasting.]”” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭17:21‬ Jesus delivered many people who had a mental illness or physical illness in the gospels of the New Testament. I was actually delivered from demonic spirits of mental illnesses such as extreme rage, manic mood swings, anxiety, panic attacks, depression, and drug addiction. Once I was delivered I had was freed from all of that and became fruitful. I have all the fruits of the spirit now. I’m not on any medication. I don’t crave drugs. I’m not angry, not going in mood swings, happy, full of joy, not depressed, self control, patience, no raging and many more improvements. Yes not all of it is demonic. We shouldn’t demonize everything but many of this is a root of demonization. We should also not put all of our faith into the DSM-5 because it was not inspired by the Holy Spirit but it does have many good truths in it. The ultimate truth is the Holy Bible. Everything else should come secondary. “But God has selected [for His purpose] the foolish things of the world to shame the wise [revealing their ignorance], and God has selected [for His purpose] the weak things of the world to shame the things which are strong [revealing their frailty].” ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭1:27‬

Praise the Lord for your life brother. My husband had panic attach and he thought that he was having a heart attach. Even though he is not a Christian yet that experience help me to get very close to the Lord. It was amazing see the Lord bringing people to our rescue. Some of God's mightiest people have had their ups and downs, and have been in messy circumstances. Besides Jesus Himself, I don't think anyone's faith has been perfect, 100% of the time. I applaud this pastor for being real and I can tell he has a real, genuine relationship with the Lord. We should all learn as believers to show compassion towards one another instead of making blanket statements that can be detrimental to the body of Christ. We can learn from the book of Job and NOT be like Job's friends.

I use to think that they were so perfect and holy and nothing was hard for them and that there lives were perfect, but its really not, they struggle just lime any other human. They just need alot of prayer because being pastors over a church is not easy, they need built up and lifted up.❤

They are there because someone gave them permission and it takes one person to break and take back that permission. When I was at my lowest and thinking about suicide, I read a book by Daniel Amen about ADD, ADHD I figured out from the book which pills I should take. I went to my nurse practioner and told him to give me an ADD test (which he did), I told him what drugs I wanted to try based on what I learned from the book. He decided the dose and prescribed them. It worked! I took the pills for about 3 years. Then I missed an appointment and couldn't get my prescription. At that point I decided to make up my mind not to agree with depression but to take every thought captive (2 Corinthians 10:5,6) don't agree with every thought that runs through your head. I needed help to get me out of a bad situation, but at the right time I was able to overcome by practicing having the mind of Christ. Also, about judging others for medicating for mental illness, read Romans 14. It's talking about judging for food, but it applies here also. Peace.

The testimony hit home for me. While I’m not on medication, I can relate to the childhood experiences he mentioned and having anxiety and depressive episodes as an adult. Even after becoming saved, I still struggle with these areas. Getting disconnected from social media is also the best thing you can do sometimes, especially when you’re on your walk with God. That "sozo" stuff he mentioned is borderline new age! I'll never forget the time a person from sozo laid hands on me and wow my spirit rebuked it! I immediately took it to the cross and that following day God answered and confirmed why what is in me rejected that stuff..... It's mind blowing to see how the new age is slowly creeping into the church.

God Bless you for your truth! The truth will set a lot of Christians, “feelers” like me, FREE! I have been diagnosed with anxiety and depression. I haven’t taken medicine for about 4-5 years, although I’d previously taken medicine for 20 years. Some days I do feel torture but I press on and sometimes I do wish the lord would just heal me or just take me, but plead he keep me filled and alive for my family, but I feel so exhausted sometimes. You took the words out of my mouth, sometimes I just need something that takes the edge off me. I just wanted so much to not take them is all. I’ve been okay for the most part but some days I feel like I take it out on people close to me and feel like I’m failing them and God. Im going to try medicine again or consider it. I just don’t want some of the side effects too, but this gives me a place of peace I needed as a sister in Christ. I love your heart. I exercise now to fight it too,

Beautiful testimony!!! The church is disillusioned to believe that medication isn't necessary. My mother's family(she had 6 siblings)was a believing family. I loved my mother. She was diagnosed as diabetic in 1996 at 50 years old.She never took care of herself. The diabetes damaged her kidneys. She was advised to get dialysis. She refused.She wanted to be healed.She developed kidney failure,several mini strokes and she had a rare blood cancer. She died in 2018. I wrote this because we have to understand that healing doesn't come the way we want it to. That has to stop. The Most High will heal you the way that he wants to heal you.It's not always an instantaneous healing. Take your prescribed medications.

I was 29 when my husband left me with 3 small children. I went into deep depression and was trying to raise kids, work and just function. Not sure why but I also felt shame in seeking help. Interestingly, God sent someone, I think he was an angel, I only seen him twice. Once when I brought my children to a little park. I was staring at nothing while the children played. He talked to me about my problems. It was some weeks later, I took the day off of work and went to the beach. As I lay in the sun, I cried for a long time and was thinking all I had to do was keep walking into the ocean to end it all. Of course I couldn't leave three small children with no one as my husband wasn't interested in even seeing his own children. As I was walking back to my car, the same man was sitting on a bench and asked me to sit down. He told me how much God loved me and how blessed I was. There were people going through things much worse. That was the last time I saw him. Eventually my mother went through a time of fasting and prayer for me and I was healed of the depression. It is a shame that we suffer when there is help out there.
