We love Aldi. And a lot of their food has less bad ingredients because it’s European. I was in Europe over the summer and was still shopping at ALDIs and Lidl there too. Do you have a Lidl near by? You might like it too. ♥️
@MommyEtc8 ай бұрын
I love hearing from you! 😊 We have Lidl right by my mom so I’m going to try there, too. Off topic, but you live in Georgia, right? I have some questions if you do, we are getting closer to moving out of state.

When I used to go into stores I used to split my stores between aldi, walmart, and pick n save. I was never really a fan of aldi lunch meat always thought it was gross so that's why I just split my shopping between stores..but now I just do grocery pick-ups between Walmart and Target. :) The highlighters look nice. It's hard to find a good highlighter that won't bleed through the pages.

Funny how going into stores is becoming something we don’t do too much! 😂

@@MommyEtc It became a necessary habit for me when my daughter was born in 2017 (she was born with a serious heart condition and in/out of the hospital a lot.) and when I worked full-time / in school part-time. I just didn't have 2hrs to spend in the store shopping versus having it all quickly ready to be done online. lol. I mean I could go back to that way now since i'm sahm/homeschooling now but eh..I'd rather not. :) :)

We had an Aldi but it went out of business !! As far as clothes shopping, i do all of mine on Amazon now. I have much better success that way and free returns is great.

I’ve had some good luck on Amazon, too!

I love Aldi! Produce is very good and less expensive there! We only buy milk coffee creamer cream cheese etc there! They have seasonal products! Cheese is another good thing to buy there! You can not buy everything there but our Aldi is across the street from a large grocery store so we buy the rest of the stuff there!

Aldi is the best!

I have been an Aldi shopper my whole life. They have most things, it just takes time to get used to them and to know your store. They have their own brand, so you won’t find normal brands, unless they have a special case of something. If you buy a normal brand there once, most likely they won’t have it there the next time and it usually costs more than normal. Just stick to the Aldi store brand items, most items are better than name brands or exactly the same. there are some items though that maybe not as good. It just takes a little time. It is definitely worth the price difference. What I usually do is get everything I can at Aldi then either do a small grocery order at Walmart or run into another store for the rest of the items I need like for house products. We do like their aluminum foil, garbage bags, gallon/other size storage bags, paper towel and paper plates. Other than that we get the rest of our house products elsewhere. We really like their produce, cereal, bread, cheese, cheaper frozen pizzas, most frozen things and most pantry staples. Most of the frozen meat is great, the fresh meat has been iffy sometimes. We like the fresh chicken thighs. We have tried most of everything from Aldi, so if you have any questions let me know.

I wanted to also mention that their brownie mix (red box) is the best! Whenever I make them for parties, everyone loves them and they can’t believe they are from Aldi! I am asked to bring them every time!

Thank you for the tips! I wasn’t sure about the meat and that was another reason we didn’t get any. I did notice the bags of shredded cheese were pric d higher than my normal grocery store, and they didn’t have the yogurt we normally get, just Greek yogurt, yuck lol. Also they didn’t have any olive oil or spices but I guess that’s stuff I’d have to get elsewhere.
@heathers66088 ай бұрын
We always get the big bag of shredded cheese, it is half the price than our other stores. If they don’t have it we get the smaller bags and they are usually under $3, they are larger than the smaller bags at the regular stores. They don’t always have the same weight per package than other stores. They have a whole half an isle of spices and cooking oil at our store. It is in the same isle as the cans and baking at ours. They used to have really good yogurt, but haven’t in a while. They do have moo tubes which is similar to gogurts. All Aldi’s though can be different. I have been in others and feel lost. It definitely takes several trips to find where and what they have.

Why didn’t you try the meat it’s meat just a different package from your usual place it’s meat and usually very good quality what couldn5 you find you needed I’m puzzled

I needed yogurt for the kids and olive oil and I couldn’t find those. Also round rolls for sandwiches, and this muffin mix that Madison likes. Things like that.
@SylviaWhite-w7p8 ай бұрын
I’m sorry about that they must keep different things in the USA here in the uk they would have all those things apart from a particular make of muffin mix perhaps you could teach her how to make them from scratch using flour butter eggs etc it’s so easy and I’m really quite shocked you couldn’t find the oil
