With enough practice you could be doing wheelies like a pro! I started just like you. Stay slow, in 1st or 2nd gear. Do not go fast! You need to learn to use the rear brake. Practice going slow and popping it up with the clutch. Bring it up and hit the rear brake, do not chase it out! It will be very short wheelies, but focus more on height. Bring it higher and higher and hit the brake. Every time you pop it up use the rear brake! Don't just cover it, tap it. Practice bringing it higher and higher. See how close you can get your fender to the ground before hitting rear brake. Do not get speed! I cannot stress the rear brake enough. Bring it up as quick as possible and hit the rear brake. Soon you'll be able to coast(no throttle) and not panic at all. I started on pedal bikes and picked up wheelies on my yz 125 very quickly. The side balance(falling side to side) takes a lot of practice. People in wheelie tutorials never mention anything about side balance. Use your hips!!! Shift your hips to control the bike. Falling right, shift bike left with your hips. Next time you are practicing, try it! That's how these guys are swerving in wheelies. Keep practicing, and don't go fast! Keep your speed slow(10 mph or slower)! Keep practicing and uploading videos on your progress! Go out and practice your wheelies all the time. You'll get it as long as you're persistent!

Can't wait to see the progress! Remember to wear that helmet(you already do). Try to practice in the grass. When you go out there, remember rear brake. Everyone always says cover it, but the second it comes too far you jump off. Use that thing! It's definitely not going to happen overnight.
