the issue is RR relics built him high spd for some reason, while he should have high HP and DEF both. So his s3 dealt so little damage. Honestly, ditch DEF for some extra crit stats, cus 50 thrives stack would mean 100% def anyway, so I think once we get a good normal relics build he can be nasty. He's meant to counter long, drawn out fights after all. He's MEANT to be the first target in place of Wu You. If he dies early with little damage, he did his job - absorbed a Moroyama /Momo's s3.

The difference between this guy and Artiar is kind of a genius when it comes to teen.Dynamics and actually finding use for a character, i'm not everybody has to have that ability to do so, left at being said this dude aint trash? He's actually a pretty decent character. And a higher reso the better. Is he game-breaking or Meta? Defining? No but he's good

i love that my feed sugested me the artiar video of this esper at r6 in pw looking decent. but man he looks bad here. cosidering rival rune content is 3/4 of the regular pvp modes. for a "pvp only esper" having bad rival runes is a big waste of resources

Point War is the premium PvP mode though. That and RTA. If you’re good at Point War you won’t ever touch Beatbout or Knockout, so exclusively looking at an esper’s viability via rival runes is very short sighted. Triple Threat is the only mode where Rival Runes remain relevant for end game players.

@@riuriu4061 it is a valid point still if a player is not expendig i feell it has to be evaluated of how much content it can be use. but is valid point that you can choose one of the modes to focus

@@riuriu4061KO is the most important PvP content imo. Shimmer shards everyday. Also most F2P can't only focus on either PvP or PvE so they can't do PvE to rank high for the shimmer shards rewards. As a F2P I only consider a unit is good for PVP if it can also be used well in RR content, otherwise it's a waste. But if you got $$ then go ham.

@@HardCarries KO means nothing if youre half decent at PVE. I agree that PW is the best PVP mode for end game simply because rival runes are so bad for some characters, making the meta there very narrow and reso based.

@@briereludovic I don't think you understand. PvE and PvP, both are extremely reso based when you're aiming for the top. If you don't have certain units at high reso then you don't score top on both PvE or PvP. So, if you are a F2P then it means you can only focus on getting units for one mode. If that mode happens to be PvP then you will rank higher in KO than PvE ritual boss rankings ( of which there are 4 and all 4 require their own unique teams and top PvE players clear all 4 bosses under 15 or even 10 turns which won't happen if you have more PvP based units). So if you're a F2P PvP player then summoning for a unit that has no KO potential is useless. That's all I'm saying.

You're exactly right. immunity set and paired along side Lu Shang (because of his safeguard) and Sakura (probably his best defender pairing for keeping debuffs off and keeping him alive, and you have a very useable esper.

He's definitely good in PW. The issue is, if you want a pvp focused esper, you want to use them on content that uses rival runes too, and his rival runes are so garbage both in the sets equipped and stat distribution

I think it's a fair assessment since most F2P probably don't have a wide range of espers to use. Artiar is extremely late game so he has options but this kinda let's us know that he has niche teams that he excels in IF he has high reso investment. So most F2P can skip him safely.
