nice job!!! i am ls swapping a 83 supra. Have you found any headers that fit? just got a set for 04-06 gto but still dont know if the steering shaft will clear.

That is the biggest supercharger you could get? A 16-71 roots blower is much bigger!

I hear what you’re saying. I was actually referring to what was available for this platform at the time although at this point there is now the 2650 available. However physical size on a supercharger doesn’t mean it’s a big supercharger. The 16-71 is not nearly as efficient as the HTV 2300 which is a modified TVS 2300. This is not the supercharger of yesteryear these superchargers are nearly as efficient as the turbochargers without the drawback of the lag.

Ya the 2500 has it built into it. currently it’s nine psi at 5000 RPMs rev limiter is 7000

Nice. I wouldn't feel too bad about the bent up pinch welds, from what I see, the supercharger hides most of it. Just put some paint on it to keep the rust at bay and drive on. Bending up the pinch welds to get a SC in the engine bay is a well worth trade off. It is so nice to see a super charger that does not need to have a hole in the hood (mad Max style) to have it on the engine. I like super chargers. I had one on a 1990's Buick and it gave the car a bit more oomph when cruising on the highway. Of course i also had a Pontiac Vibe where I installed the rare GM super charger kit for it (you ordered the kit from the local GM parts dept) it was fun to drive that car with the SC but there were times it was a bit scary as I swore I was going to wind up in a ditch upside down with that car (It was always squirrelly even without the SC). I hope the build continues to go smoothly. As for Electric Cars. I like EVs just like I like gas and diesel vehicles. I think there might be a market for EV muscle cars in the future. I had a chance to spend some time driving a tesla and I was impressed at the speed these things could quickly put out. No clunky auto trans shifts and delays when you floor it. No need to worry about clutches and manual trans shifts (I love manual transmissions but after living and driving in the start and stop DC area traffic for years, manual trans gets tiring). Just put pedal to the floor and boom instant speed.

The 2JZ is really mehh. However the 2jzgte is a remarkable engine. Just because they bear the same first three alpha numerical identification they are not remotely comparable. That noted you can do this entire swap for about the same price as a decent unmodified 2jzgte, and you’re going to be spending a whole lot more on that 2jzgte to make it better than this set up. Then when you blow up that very expensive 2jzgte the price tag of $450-$1000 1uz will look pretty good. 😂🤙
