mali carter I was thinking the same thing. And, he DOES play the Pentecostal type style of music. But, just being Pentecostal doesn’t make him “good.” He’s good on his own and, of course, with the help of God. It’s definitely a true gift!!! And, I have the same exact gift, myself. Been playing the piano and keyboard since I was four years old. My thing is that the Apostolic Pentecostal Oneness Church (UPC, or whatever other organizations are out there, and I’ve been to quite a few of these cults throughout my almost seventy years of living). Very abusive!!! Spiritually, mentally, and especially emotionally. They love to get ya all worked up and extremely emotional. The more emotional the better that they can CONTROL and MANIPULATE you. And, a lot of this is done through the highly emotional music that they play, which is DESIGNED to get you emotionally worked up. Every last one of them!!! Along with all the horror stories of people that supposedly LEFT the cult and never lived to see the next day and how that they supposedly s also went to hell to suffer throughout eternity for simply being TIRED of being horribly abused and manipulated and wanting to LEAVE. And, don’t get me wrong!!! I love the music!!! Just don’t love how the Pentecostal preachers use music, worship, praise and all of that to TOTALLY MANIPULATE you by playing the same songs over and over and over again till the lyrics and that music (and all the stuff the preachers are yelling at you while that music is being played) till it’s DRILLED into your brain and into your subconscious or whatever. So, yeah, it kind of sounds like HE was brought up in this cult. Not sure!!! But, wow, if he was, then I feel extremely sorry for him. Can’t even imagine what he’ll go through once he realizes what’s actually going on and the blinders come ... off. Then, he’ll most likely be totally disillusioned by the whole thing and possibly even have Complex PTSD because he wakes up to the fact that NOTHING is like the way THEY made it out to be. And, the people in “the world” are a thousand times nicer, more loving, compassionate, concerned about others than the so-called Christians in these types of “Churches.” Sorry, not sorry!!! I will NEVER apologize for speaking the truth. Oh, I know, I, myself, don’t have ANY truth, or so you think, anyways, because NOBODY (in your eyes at least) has the “REAL truth” outside of the Apostolic Pentecostals (UPC or whatever others there might be around nowadays). Been out of the cult for a few years now and I still suffer from a TON of anxiety, depression and C-PTSD symptoms because of all the abuse I went through. I’ll probably NEVER get over all that till I die and go to be with God. And, yup, just because I no longer go to the cult that even the late Reverend Jim Jones, who KILLED his blind followers by giving them cyanide laced Kool Aid drinks, regularly attended (at one time before he ended up doing his OWN thing in Guyana), does NOT make me “unsaved” or “backslidden,” either. I’m sorry if I come off hateful or nasty. But, the so-called Pentecostal Church (mainly the UPC) did a TON of damage (and STILL continues to do so) to me and thousands upon thousands (maybe even millions) of other people. Look up THEIR horror stories online or even on KZbin. There’s a LOT of people who are now speaking out against all the horrible things these so-called preachers are putting their congregations (and those that love the people in their congregations). It DESTROYS people’s lives and everybody who’s watching these people go through what they’re going through and they’re powerless to really help them because they have NO clue what WE actually went through, having had gone to a cult like this. Beautiful music, though, like you said, and on that note, lol, I agree. Just totally brainwashed and indoctrinated (through no fault of his own). 🤢😡😢💔

From age 13, I played piano in the church for many years. Many times I would get caught up into the energy of the music and overcome with the annointing...so much so that at the end of the performance, I wouldn't remember how I played that particular song and would be amazed at how the music moved others. I can always see and feel it when a musician plays with that annointing and it makes me smile because I know what that musician is experiencing. Thanks for sharing your gift!
