i feel like your main problem is too weak of servos. it looks like you're using the basic servos, which limit the output of machines. try using hardened servos or reinforced, they aren't too expensive and can pull out enough to never back up your outputs. hope this helps

I agree, Captain did an accidental bottleneck with the lack of upgrading the thermal expansion tech. The next upgrades for fluxducts would let him go crazier with the NC machine upgrades. Cap if you see read this, I can never be disappointed in you my guy. Watching your vids brought me back to minecraft after a few year hiatus and I have been sharing the joys of the radioactive glow of nuclear craft with my friends. Can't wait to see the next 100 days.

Having played around with Thermal a lot in my earlier modded days, the servos are *definitely* the bottleneck. Also, he could've avoided all the irradiation from hand-carrying the really radioactive stuff by using itemducts and a sequential fabricator. Proper use of Thermal can make the challenges with Nuclearcraft a joke. (And yes, I know he's trying to do it all 'in house' in the NC mod. Just adding that bit as a tip for other non-purists.)

@@mlogan2k2I’m a bit late to the party here, but you are partially correct. The servos are absolutely the bottleneck. However, with Nuclearcraft, it is recommended to not use servos at all. Superlaminar pipes are the best obviously, but with the auto export built into NC reactors and turbines, no servo necessary.

@@da_enderdragon Huh. Didn't know they'd work without the servos, but it makes sense. Most packs these days use mods like Pipez, which do require them to be set to pull from an inventory, so I've gotten used to those. Maybe I should revisit some 1.12 era packs...

Couple comments. One is you can upgrade the Thermal Expansion servos to draw more things through. Two is, try making some HOP graphite electrodes for the rail gun. I'm pretty sure those are the highest tier of ammunition for it.

yo captain, if you love nuclear craft, you should try HBM(1.7.10), or HBM reloaded ( some special features that NTM or original HBM doesnt have )/ ntm-extended ( more updated and more compatibility ) (1.12.2)

Go ahead and do however much Nuclearcraft you want, but HBM (specifically the 1.7.10 version, as the 1.12.2 Alcater port is considered a joke by the HBM/NTM community) contains a ton of things you personally love (and your fans would love to see!), such as: - Some of the most destructive bombs in all of minecraft - Intricate reactor designs and operation (simulated neutron flux in an RBMK!) - Ore processing up to 256x duplication using mid-late game bedrock ore - Powerful mining and harvesting tools - Brutal radiation, dangerous structures, and multiple health hazards (note: mesothelioma & black lung) Probably the singular, yet very large hangup is that many of the recipes are uber-complicated verging on GregTech levels, so 100 days may not be enough to complete what you might want to complete. For your next 100 days or general video with pam’s, Potatos are divine. They can be put in a mortar and pestle to make flour, a pot for stock, in a pot with stock and salt for potato soup, made into fries for burgers. And so much more. As terrible s it is, a mushroom, lettuce, onion, soy and potatos can bake you most of the best items in pam’s.

Tip: upgrade Thermal Expansion ducts and servos. But never do Cryo stabilized. Its infinite transfer and that makes the energy from teh source drain instantly. Abd that way, the power isnt distributed evenly. If you have a boomin power source try resonant. Since you have Platinum and just get some endermen in the end if ud like

Just wanted to let you know, maybe you can use this feature in a compact spot so that your "reactor to pile" fluxducts don't mix with your "pile to machine" fluxducts. It can also be used to rotate thermal machines, just 3 iron and a tin.

You should add the Buildcraft mod to your play throughs like this. It will help you out with your mining so much, and make it easier to get the resources you need.

After re-watching, I think there's a few events that caused you to fail this challenge. The cooling tower took a few days, but it does look nice. The partial meltdown also cost a few days of time. There's also the time spent idle in the caves, even if it was a short time. Some efficiency steps could have also been taken by expanding the lab and setting up some automation to the compression charge process earlier and letting it run in the background. Given, this would also cost some time as well to build, enclose and fill with the necessary machines. Putting the time and effort into the excavator did seem to be the right choice, though. Maybe some effort on the side to build a second to reduce mining trips even further could have likely saved time as well. though how much would greatly depend on when a second excavator was built. Seeing what all goes into this, and what needs to be done to get there, building at least the explosive is certainly possible. The second half of this goal, though. It can be done, though it'd be even more of a hustle to reach the milestones of the explosive even quicker. A tough 2-part goal to meet, even with the dice rolling favorably at each step, though. Dawn of Day 101 may have come a few seconds before or after the explosive went off. I know that I certainly wouldn't be able to succeed in either part of your goal this 100 day challenge. I'm quite slow when it comes to Minecraft. My general goals tend to be on building civilization. Building a town instead of a single house. Building a large bunker with the mindset of many people staying in it, not just myself. My first time playing with NuclearCraft, it was past Day 400 when I built a mock reactor to see how it worked out. It was past Day 500 when I started the reactor for the first time. My focus was modernizing the village I was staying at. Changing the roads from dirt paths to cobblestone, upgrading the smithy to a large forge. Investing in powered lamps from immersive Engineering to keep the villagers safe at night was achieved late between days 200 and 300. Day 300-400 was spent mostly focused on farming, finding and planting 80 of each crop from Harvestcraft in a plot-like grid, including the base-game crops. I could have certain done things faster, been more efficient with time and resources.

Ars Noveau has great compatibility with Blood Magic, and it also works with create if you include a specific mod

Quick question: How do you get the radiation meter to work? I have the counter what shows me my radiation levels, but I’m not going up In radiation even though I’m getting around 15 U-Rads. I have put the player decay tick speed to 1 but it doesn’t seem to be doing anything.
