I love how throughout this entire thing, he never really uses the dodging mechanic when fighting mobs due to his Minecraft roots. We’re used to taking hits, not evading them.😂

I play minecraft but also alot alot of fortnite especially Lego and I think the dodge mechanic is just so easily forgettable especially when you find out they have Shields. I think him and alot of people just forget especially me

He also uses an axe as a melee weapon like minecraft, which is suboptimal.

Love how there's both prefabs and customizable building. I GREATLY prefer prefabs. Most of my minecraft bases are just a bunch of machines sprawled out over some plains biome I discovered. I VERY rarely build. Most of my ACTUAL builds are just like a teleportation shrine or something of the like that has a warp plate or dimensional door in it.

And now we wait for another couple updates before surviving 200 days in Lego Fortnite. Also, Lego Fortnite does give battlepass XP. It helped me get 20 levels worth of experience before I stuck to Rocket Racing and Zero Build.

@@jacobhorowitz603 We don't. Probs calculated by a lot of things, or as simple as playtime. Epic won't say, and it hasn't been something data miners are interested in. Just enjoy the gamemode.

if you want to branch out to other minecraft-like survival games, i'd suggest you play vintage story, it's basically minecraft with a heavy focus on realism and survival (and is pretty hard)

Might be because Fortnite is a.. scummy name and its epic exclusive on PC on top - which is a launcher that alot of people dont want to support by any means (not even have it installed) for solid reasons. To give context: Fortnite did cost money at the start for Early Access back when it was supposed to be a coop game before it´d go free 2 play. Long story short: They had a ton of tiers with a hidden tier, so supporters that bought every Edition would have another Edition unlocked which was a total of something around 1000€. Then they essentially released the alpha build, gave a few small updates and abandoned it to release the Battle Royale mode not too long after. That part and the part that loads of people dislike what we call "Fortnite" nowadays by default for some reason unrelated to all proper reasons.

Also its great for you that you´re fine with paying for something that neither got finished, nor received any of the promised overhauls/updates, but for most that spend up to a thousand bucks (or more) its a valid reason to dislike anything related to it as it perfectly showcases that companies can fully scam you without facing any backleash. I personally do prefer to not play it simply due to the bs epic has always been pulling, but to each their own (as long as they don´t sit in my ears a few years later about the impact their decisions have on the overall market like people currently do with not having any rights to the products anymore).

@@Unknown_Genius its a fortnite title bc its profitable lol. this couldve been a standalone survival lego game, but lego probably wanted a random ip they knew would make it immediately successful, and went to epic just so they could put fortnite characters in. it may rely on some of the data/files of fortnite, but its such a completely different game that theres no actual good reason that they cant make it a standalone game, other than, again, tying it to a profitable ip and inflating fortnites numbers.

I wish this was its own game instead of requiring you to download all *111 GB* of Fortnite just to play this single gamemode... I also wish they had updated the game more instead of leaving it feeling barren and aimless. The whole game is basically just repeating the same progression three times over (just with "upgraded" versions of the same materials) before there's not much else to do. Yes there's building, but its a lot more limited than Minecraft. There just isn't as much depth (though its been almost a year, maybe they have improved it since). There's also _minimal character customization_ without paying money. They don't even offer you to luxury to pick which default character you use, which SUCKS (but it is free, so I guess its fair...). :/
