With pixelmon servers, They tend to either leave the config file as standard (non-shiny) starters or they modify it so all starters are shiny. I personally prefer non-shiny.

YO THAT'S A SHINY BLASTOISE! If you didn't know shiny pokemon are incredibly rare pokemon with an alternate color than their normal colorization for that species. Full odds shinnies are the rarest with roughly about a 1/8192 chance to appear for generations 2-5 (Please note that in the first pokemon games, Gen 1, there weren't shinnies) and in later generations it was improved to a 1/4096 chance to appear. However there are various ways to increase those odds to get shinnies. You can also reset your game to get a shiny starter! But unfortunately some starter pokemon are shiny locked meaning you can't legally get one such as Scorbunny unless you breed for it later on in the game to replace your current starter. There are also pokemon that are not starters that you can not legally own a shiny of such as Cosmog. I hoped this helped you out a lot! I wrote all of this myself! I love your videos and You should keep up the good work! And in between all of that good work you should take sometime to enjoy some fresh air! You deserve it!
