100 Days in “insert game here” challenges are really popular on KZbin so I thought I’d try one for Space Engineers but with a twist!
What I didn't know is the experience would nearly cost me my SANITY!

Space Engineers is a voxel-based sandbox game set in space and on planets, developed and published by Czech independent developer Keen Software House. In 2013, the initial developmental release of the game joined the Steam early access program. During the following years of active development, Space Engineers sold over one million units. In total as of 2019 the game has sold over 3.5 million copies In May 2015, for approximately a year and a half, the game's source code was officially available and maintained by KSH to assist the modding community. On December 15, 2016, the game entered Beta and was later officially released on February 28, 2019.
The game is a sandbox game about engineering, construction, exploration and survival in space and on planets. Players build space ships, space stations, planetary outposts of various sizes and uses, pilot ships and travel through space to explore planets and gather resources to survive.

fun fact about the starting pod there is a hydrogen thruster underneath connected to nothing, it has metal grids and steel tubes also the atmo thrusters on the sides which do nothing have metal grids also the parachute hatch on top for steel tubes. the beacon does too. gyroscope, lights, three extra landing gear, etc you can make a fully equipped rover from all the nonessential stuff provided by the pod without needing an assembler

Yeah, I guess, however, it was a long way to drive but useful to know for the future. Plus I usually use the metal grids from the thrusters to build a cargo container anyway.

You can also use the ore detector and non essential components (like the beacon) to instead build a remote control to pilot from the starting seat

I have a cursed game save where I don't have any cobalt ore on the planet I've started with because I went a little wild with mods. So my storage solution was connectors and small grid cargo containers. not hte most efficient or elegant solution, but it worked pretty well.

Forget about all the people telling you that you should do a "100 days in SE" challenge with _real length_ days. This day length, and the fact that you have to interrupt yourself constantly during your explanations is just _too_ hilarious. You should do a "10000 days in SE" challenge but keep these 100 times faster days.

Also if you deconstruct the hydrogen thruster it gives you 4 metal grids and each atmospheric thrusters give you 1 each totaling to 8 grids.

What I do not understand is: A) you dont need cobalt for start. You can use large connector for storage instead OR small grid large/medium cargo B) You can use 4 metal grids from Hydrogen Thruster that is at the bottom and you also have large tube from that for gyroscope - no need for assembler. Small tubes and motors from landing gears, computer from timer for parachute etc. C) You can build remote control block instead of building cockpit to save materials and just sit in the chair and remote control to fly. Turning off dampeners makes flying a little more enjoyable, you can also not crashland :D D) no need to build anything, you can actually launch yourself with drop pod to space if thats the challenge :D Anyway overall this was fun and I know you already know all of these :D Yeah, you got me there found out it was 1. April joke :P

Question, you made your survival pod fly with only 3 thrusters saying that you don’t want to risk the fuel issue with the hydro thrust…. But then you could just scrap the hydro thruster and use the large steel tube from that, and then you’d have 4 atmo and no fuel issue
