It's *SO* awesome to have you back! Some thoughts: 1. Ever since I found out about tesselated/super-compact mining, I have never looked back. It is *slightly* more involved to set up but guarantees that ore is pulled out of the ground as quickly as possible. As well, if you reverse the direction the ore flows with each row, you can chain them together, so you need to deal with combining fewer belts leaving the miners. That isn't such a big deal with small deposits and yellow belts but is once you have large deposits and blue+ belts. 2. I see that you make the same choice that everyone else does and anchor your walls against the shore of a lake/etc. That is a *SERIOUS* problem because any attacking biters traveling along the shoreline will only have to deal with turrets shooting them from one side. A better way is to build the wall behind a 'bulge' in the water so biters will automatically be pushed inwards or use landfill to build the defenses farther out into the water. (Best is to add more turrets parallel to the shoreline.) 3. I have fallen in love with the 'Robot Army' mod. You set up how many 'lawyers' you want to send out at a time, and they will automatically seek out and deliver 'cease and desist' (existing) notices to all nearby obnoxious neighbours. (They can end up getting stuck and wiped out at times, but... :shrug: ) 4. Speaking of mods, you *REALLY* need to start using the 'Really Less Advanced Fluid Handling' mod to trim down your pipe spaghetti. Seriously. 5. I came across a system to prevent fluid locks years ago and now use it every single time: 1 pump per input that only turn on if the input fluid storage levels are above a minimum amount + 1 pump per output that only turns on if the output fluid storage is below a maximum amount. It is downright *TRIVIAL* to set up and has yet to fail me. Cheers!

Idk if it was SE or K2, but one of those mods changes the advanced oil refinering in a way that if you turn all the light and heavy oil in petroleum gas, it produces less petroleum gas per oil as the normal processing does.

I just want an overhaul mod that doesn't make every recipe require 3 times as many different resources. "Oh, you want this game to feel fresh and like a different experience? Well here's new stuff, except you gotta sloooooowly build yourself through vanilla early and mid game which takes 3 times as long because we split up every recipe into 3 times as many steps. ARE YOU HAVING FUN YET?" I'm exaggerating a little of course, Krastorio 2 for example is not all that difficult, and is actually a pretty good step up in difficulty from vanilla IMO. I just like the theme of IR2 and IR3, which are a little too complex for me to have fun with them. The insane number of intermediate materials is just too much for me. I suppose the new challenge of designing efficient designs utilising steam pipes is an interesting twist, but i just have not yet worked up to the skill floor required, I feel.
