If not for Endermites I might consider using Ender Pearls more often. The damage isn't as big of an issue for me, since Feather Falling and Protection can reduce the amount of damage received from it. It's the Endermites that really annoy me, and so I don't use Ender Pearls unless I'm making an Enderman farm or I'm on peaceful difficulty.

Okay SB to explain, when you attack zombie piglins they have a random (pretty rare if I remember rightly) chance to spawn a normal zombie to protect them, that is the only way zombies can spawn in the nether.
