Dripstone can be used to farm lava. Put a lava on top of a block, put pointy dripstone under the block and put a cauldron under the dripstone. It’s slow, but makes lava renewable.
@keatonfallin9810 Жыл бұрын
I’m not sure if it’s a mod but you could also do it with water the same as rain turning into a source block of water
@JasonTaylor-po5xc5 ай бұрын
A lot of folks will point out there is nearly infinite lava in the nether. But, that means you have to venture into the nether. Having renewable lava in a safe location can be useful.

I miss the days when you could farm potions with the drip stone. I was stocked for battles. Lol.
@kevinwyman7046 Жыл бұрын
Pointed dripstone used to make renewable lava farm. Encase lava in a block above the pointed dripstone and put a cauldron under the pointed dripstone and after a while the cauldron will fill with lava. If you're redstone savvy at all you can make a piston-powered cauldron tape to yield massive amounts of lava buckets. Only other use for the pointed dripstone is traps. They deal increased damage from falling based on the height the entity has fallen from.

Lunchbox ❤ Designwise (and I'm pretty sure I'm quite late with this but who knows, maybe you'll like it for future projects anyways) what I love to do is to put three fencegates in between two walls of whatever type and that set separated by on log or block whatever fits the block palette. Because the gates will make a pretty upward curve and I think that gives a really nice touch

Nether portal - Take the cords of your overworld portal and ÷ the X and Z by 8. So if your overworld cords are say 4000, 70, -2000 the nether cords would be 500, 70, -250. The Y axis is not so much of an issue so if you do that and place a portal in the right cords in the nether then remove the other portals it should link just fine

Recommendation: I heard you say you’re using optifine, if so you can turn on connected textures or whatever it’s called to make your glass one big thing without the distinction between blocks for better visibility. Edit: you can also use advanced tooltips to see the precise durability on tools.

Lunchbox 👋 Hi Legion, I'm really loving your content. I've fallen asleep to them multiple times, so I've had to replay them multiple times, but I don't mind. You're very enjoyable to watch and listen to. I know you did evntually get 3 wither skulls, but spawn rates are way better in soul sand and basalt delta fortresses. One last thing, you can only get the advancement from eating a poisonous potato when you have eaten every single edible item in the game (even the bad ones). Super happy I found your channel, and I look forward to seeing more 100 day videos! 🙂

I have been burnt out on the 100 days of hardcore minecraft trend for awhile now, so I only found you after you started posting something else. I promptly realized I loved your videos, and when you posted part 6 of the hardcore world I decided to take on the 14-odd hours of the previous videos so I could watch it too. I don't regret it! This is such a fresh take on the tired trope, and I am really enjoying it. Also! Lunchbox! The man, the myth, the legend is born!

1. Yes, 'hollow mountains' are a Caves & Cliffs feature 2. Dripstone is good for lava farms. 3. Fix your portal by breaking the overworld one or the Nether one (whichever one you don't want to keep). Then, make a new portal on corresponding coordinates of the leftover portal. For instance, if you want to make a new portal in the Nether, divide the Overworld portal's coordonates by 8 (both X and Z) and use those calculations as the coords for the new portal. To make a new one in the Overworld, multiply the X & Z coords of the Nether portal by 8 & build there. Hope that helps! Edit: finally watched all the way thru. You fixed it! Nice job 😊

To get the azalea trees you wanted, just place down one of your moss blocks on stone, grass or dirt then bone meal the moss over and over until you get the azalea bushes. Then you can plant those and bone meal them to make azalea trees.

Lunchbox :3 I’ve been learning so much while watching this series, your wit and your calm voice are so nice! Since you have the bee nests: you could put a nest or hive at one end of crop column, and a flower at the other end, and the bees will pollinate the crops as they fly to and from the flower. It can help the crops grow faster, perhaps with your pumpkins or watermelons. I am not sure if there are any restraints on distance though!

For the end portal and about you flying across an ocean, 1 block in the nether = 8 blocks in the over world. This means that you can just make a tunnel to another portal that will be in the stronghold, taking you 8x shorter 👍🏻

Love the series so far! Been binging them since I found your recent ocean 100 days. Definitely solid work m8! Since you asked; you could have brought down the extra cows, or used the collected eggs to spawn chickens to get wither roses with it’s summon explosion. Otherwise that was expertly executed 😸 :Edit: since you’re going to the nether roof you can build a ghast farm with the roses up there too! All the tears of your enemies 😜 #lunchbox

The high also counts, u can have 2 portals one above The other, like i have one for the roof of the nether in 127 high, that links tô te roof, and one in floor lvl that links tô te normal nether, but they are in the same coordinades, just above, and bellow each other, u just need te x,y like u said but if u want 2 nether portal next to it each other, u need to take the high lvl 2, and build at the same high, otherwise u will need to put to much far away that i will like to put it

I couldn't help but laugh when you pointed out you needed chickens! Every good Roman General needs his sacred military chickens. No good battle against a Foe of Rome can be had before first seeing whether a chicken will eagerly eat her meal! (My favorite Roman fact actually... Roman battles were predecided by chickens)

There is an 8 to 1 ratio between the overworld and nether. Thus, for every 1 block traveled in the nether, you travel 8 blocks in the overworld. Because of that, you can setup a set of paths in the nether to travel quickly in the overworld. Just take your overworld coords and divide by 8. When portals generate automatically, there is a preference for certain types of terrain - so in the nether, it will prefer creating the portal on the banks of a lava lake instead of creating a platform in the middle of one. The same is true in the overworld. Game prefers to spawn on the shore or in a cave rather over an ocean.
