I'll happily wait for it when it's done! :D And yeah, you should totally put open trapdoors on top of the water canals of your mob farmer. That way, mobs will think they are full blocks and fall down the chute.

Yes, the caves do make the mob farm worse but you need trapdoors to trick mobs to fall in the water because right now they have to push each other in to it and blocks in all the corners outside the mob farm cuz those let light in too

You need to add opened trap doors above the lanes of water for the mobs to path over the water naturally. I remember having to do this way back in 2012 Minecraft and it's still important to do today.

@@Bunny-f5c they are spawning as is shown when he goes into the mob farm in the beginning before replacing the roof. The two major things are 1. Trapdoors so the mobs readily move into the water. 2. He needs to either lift the spawner into the air or light up caves. Adding trapdoors will make it work just very inefficiently.

All tho i dont like only one thing... Its the bridge... I like the design but the bamboo block is greenish amd the planks are yellowish... So are the fences... So can you switch the bamboo blocks whit bamboo planks? Once again good work! Cant wait for 600-1000 days :) !

You should have made the mob grinder a lot taller. Like 200 blocks high. This way the caves underneath wouldn't spawn anything

new here, and just binged 100 to 400 days last week! liked this series and really hope you do 600 (or 1000) days video but dont over do yourself! as for you question, I think as long as you dont go on other land masses on the other world, just exploring the ocean in a boat would be ok! so you can get shipwrecks and ocean monuments!

The Mob spawner was broken because the player was within 128 blocks of other spawnable areas (ie: caves). If you made the base of the mob spawner over 128 blocks above the highest point on your island, the mob spawner would work.

Hi Haven, first of all, i do think you should explore the ocean. And about the mob grinder, i had this problem with mine, then i went over 100 blocks taller, that way i was further away from caves underneath, therefore all the mobs were not spawning, maybe you should try this? Build the grinder 100+ blocks taller and see if that helps? Also a lot of people mention trap doors, i do believe they help too, they do trick the mobs.

here's a suggestion for the mob farm: 1. dont build that one 2. build ianxofour's general mob farm with top slabs, scaffolding, 1 trapdoor and normal redstone clock for gmfs or hopper clock set to 30 seconds 3. build ianxofour's gold farm for xp in the nether, it is SOOO much faster, OR an enderman farm (you can design one yourself) for black concrete 1. build ian's wither skeleton farm / fortress farm (this is literally the easiest one with good rates) 2. build ian's wither rose farm (literally also the easiest one) 3, build any piglin bartering farm since gravel can be obtained through bartering 4. build sand duper 5. dupe the concrete

8:05 you can mine some sand on island, some gravel in Nether and get ink from fishing or wither rose with help of Wither. This is all you need to get black concrete

You need to put two flowers directly across from each other directly next to an oak or birch tree. So like 🌹🌳🌹. Just having them near the sapling won’t work. The mob spawner will also work better if you make a sky platform so the caves don’t spawn mobs. 120 blocks from the top of the spawner is the figure i hear most often. But you’ll have to line the platforms above the water with trap doors to trick mobs into falling into the water, or nothing will work. Please follow tutorials if you need to.

*_TUTORIAL - How to make a mob spawner and not listen to the toddlers in the comments:_* 1. You need trap doors right above the flowing water since the mobs will path-find over them thinking they are full blocks. 2. You may need to spider-proof your mob spawner with carpets. (Maybe, depending on what you want to spawn. If you want spiders, you may need a different spawner.) 3. This one I'm not too sure about, but you should make it to where the height inside the spawner is 3 blocks. 4. This one, which you already know, is to light up surrounding land and caves to maximize mob spawning. (And yes, I know you said you don't need the mob spawner, but I just want to prove the comments AND you wrong. {joke[maybe]}) EDIT: Your office is very lovely, especially on the interior; but on the outside could you some 3D texture to make it pop. Maybe a trim around the walls, windows, and roof would be nice.

so ther caves for the spawner is one issue for sure but also if you put trapdoors above where the water is running the mobs will fall more frequently intot he water to then be pushed down to the kill chamber. a wither skeleton that is next to a skull picks it up same with every other mob in the game.also sniffers are my favorite mob in minecraft,so I think it's only fair that you are able to "leave your island" find a ruin in a warm ocean (only spawn there with sus sand)

build the spawner higher up in the world with ladders for a platform and then rebuild the farm.. turn down render and spawn distance and it shouldnt be affected by the caves

I know a lot of people are already saying this but, TRAP. DOORS. That's the reason your mob farm isn't working. The mobs will not fall into the water unless there is an open trap door to trick them into walking over the edge. It's not the caves underground, the light level might've contributed to the problem but it is 100% the lack of trap doors!!!

You can absolutely make black concrete, because you can kill squids for ink sacs, which can be made into black dye, and then use the sand from your island, and gravel from caves, and bam! Black concrete!
