In this episode of The Untold अकथितः Interviews, we sit down with Mr. Keshav Pandey, an Aircrash Survivor, of the devastating plane crash that occurred on March 12, 2018 in Kathmandu, Nepal.
Mr. Pandey was one of the few who miraculously survived the crash of the US-Bangla Airlines flight from Dhaka, Bangladesh to Tribhuvan International Airport. The plane crashed while landing, killing 51 of the 71 people on board in one of Nepal's worst aviation disasters.
In this exclusive interview, Mr. Pandey courageously recounts his harrowing experience and the aftermath of the tragic incident that claimed the lives of many of his friends and colleagues. He shares his journey of recovery, both physically and emotionally, in the face of immense loss.

Words after 21:50 were the most hard words for me to hear. Back in 2017, i used to play basketball, alot. I was engaged into becoming a basketball player and play for my country. Meanwhile, at training i broke (dislocated) my whole knee and same things were playing on my mind like, “Abba ta khelna ni paudina hola”, “la abba suru navai career siddhyo”. “Abba wheelchair ko jindagi huncha.” And all of those depressive thoughts. Can’t believe that was 7 years ago. I didn’t made to National team but i never stopped playing basketball. I still hoop❤️

this was such a beautifully executed interview. i will forever praise keshav sir for how intimately he was able to deliver his experience through every alternate possibilities he went through physically, mentally, emotionally and beyond that as a survivor, a collegue, a human and most importantly a father. to be a selfless man lost hauling through darkness into an oblivious future and still hold oneself responsible for the light around him, his family, his friends and to the people takes an unfathomable courage. i am very touched by your insight on how accidents can happen anytime but you wish such accident should not occur where one suffers a whole rest of the livable life. i took a myriad lessons from from you. your story took me by my hands and placed it on the handles of your wheelchair. you are a warrior. thank you so much for being such a beautiful human. im forever obliged for your existence.

This is not only a one problem in airlines but all country should focused in this confidential case cause... All the engineers should be aware and think about some alternative if plane crashes than how to save the people if plane crashes all should make a solution of it... Air ways is more dangerous than road ways and air ways is very important cause to travel from one country to another.. air ways is best and it's faster than road ways so planes should be modified more advance...

This was a clear US Bangla Airline mismanagement by the management. The Captain in Command was nowhere fit or fully rested to commandeer this flight. He had issues with the airline and seemed pretty emotional and disorientated at the time of approach to TIA........check his communication with TIA ATC's. Sadly and tragically, young aspiring Nepali medical students lost their lives. Despite this tragedy, I have not heard or read any report or accountability from the concerned airlines or the investigative team. I am pretty certain the Canadian manufacturers of the DASH 400 were involved in the investigation.......
