I’ve been off the bike seriously for three years. Sometimes you get lost in life and forget what you love to do. Unfortunately we have to work and there’s not enough time in the day to do it all. Thanks mate. For this ride I used a Lezyne Hectodrive 500XL, which wasn’t really enough. Small, but the battery didn’t last very long and I had to run it on the lowest setting for longer than I would’ve liked.

What's the point of starting at 1:30 am has someone who is very big on their sleep i would avoid this event like the plague.

They wanted to get everyone out of Zurich and into the mountains before there was too much traffic around, and it took some riders 15-16 hours to complete and they didn’t want to have people coming in in the dark. But yeah, it was a very early start, that’s for sure!
