Just remember with Karkinos and Anky's (or anything you use to gather materials), always use two of opposite sexes, each one in one claw, and preferably bred/imprinted (for another 20% stat boost). Not only do you get double the carrying capacity (coupled with their metal weight reduction), you also get a mate boost (+33%dmg and 33%dmg resistance) for both of them. Edit: Also X-Anky's for another 5% dmg boost for each one.

Hey Syn. Just for future reference, the first aberration cave you went into will respawn creatures agressively fast. So if you want too farm for any creatures that spawn in their; including more high-level Karkinos, just run through there while killing whatever spawns over and over again. You'll get what you're looking for faster than you'd think.

A pack of high level Karks spawns underwater in the ocean just off the shore of the volcano island. Look for the giant white glowing crystals that you can see from the air and the karks will be at the bottom under those crystals.

You should definitely test out breeding the frogs Syntac. I’m on a Nitrado server playing on console and I was able to breed frogs. Not sure if it’s just the server or Wildcard added it in secretly but would definitely recommend trying it, really helped me in the insect cave. Great job on the videos btw! Looking forward to the new one!

The karkinos is one of the few things that sometimes makes me wish we could go back to a time without cryo pods. I remember back on aberration this guy was one of the greatest utility creatures ark ever added, you basically needed a karkinos in your life, and these days they're still good, but they aren't nearly as great as they used to be. The quetzal is the same way, it's sort of a relic of an older time

Karkinos is still used a lot in PVP, it's used to grab soakers and kill them. So they aren't really forgotten. Quetzal needs some love (a TLC), if it will get one i'm sure everyone will start taming them again, they are loved by the community after all.

For anyone interested, a fun thing I've set up with the inclusion of fjordhawks: I put a 1X2 stone foundation down, with a bunk bed and a ramp on one foundation, putting two-high stone walls on three sides of the other foundation, and two-high stone walls on one side of the bunk bed foundation, effectively making an open-roof 4-sided room. The stone and bunk bed makes it so random dinos can't damage it if they wander by, and the walls are to contain anything I throw so I can do a Grab All and overburden myself. I use these mini-rooms as teleportation points near spots I visit often, like areas with metal/crystal nodes or the bee cave for honey and organic polymer, and just use my fjordhawk plus cryopods to instantly teleport myself and any collection-assistance/transportation dinos between those places and my home base using the beds, like a teleportation network.

In Ark mobile, Griffins are breedable and they drop fertilised eggs. These eggs are used to make kibble to take unicorns, it's the only food they will take. They will not passively drop eggs over time. Griffin kibble is also the ultimate taming kibble for Griffins, otherwise, Allo kibble is next best.
