My prediction before watching video: The Cheaters are black and purple. One dude is using two accounts on one map, or linking accounts on other devices. (Kinda explaining how both have that avatar.) And Black account uses Purple account as a dummy account, and allowing BA free cards, free land, ect. I'll reply after the video ends to see if my prediction was right.

Report them, if you suspect it. One report does not make a ban. Multiple reports - and a investigation confirming a cheating pattern - do.

you should always report if you suspect someone. if they're not a cheater, it won't do any harm, but if they are it'll add precedence

They weren't collaborating. Black did the cry laugh because you destroyed purple who broke them last turn (black was taunting purple). Earlier in the video black told you to attack purple after they had broke him.

I suspected it was one guy controlling two accounts (which is cheating). Stream sniping is a definite possibility too (and is also considered cheating by SMG since it's against their fair play rules). Side note: them attacking each other doesn't prove they're not collabing/stream sniping. Stream sniper could easily have heard what I was saying and tried to "prove" they weren't cheating by attacking each other in an attempt to not get reported and get their accounts banned.

And for those saying I'm paranoid: I'm guessing you haven't played this game much. Cheaters are very much a thing in Risk (as they are in most online games) and there are different types of cheaters. One type of cheating some people like to do is to control multiple accounts as one person. And I don't know why, but they LOVE to use the same avatar on the accounts. One time I had 4 accounts insta-join a lobby (I wasn't even live) with the same avatar and same frame around it. I left the lobby, made a new one and they all insta-joined it again (this was at a time of day when not many lobbies were being hosted). And yeah, knowing that people like to do this makes you always a little suspicious when you see two people with the same barely used avatar in the same match. And then they both accepted the alliance request simultaneously after the one player had ignored it for several minutes. Another suspicious timing kind of thing. This kind of sneaky cheating is hard to prove, especially if they were stream sniping me and listening to what I was saying. Maybe they didn't expect to get caught and they didn't want to get their accounts reported so they started attacking each other to make themselves seem less suspicious. There's no knowing for sure but I still think there's a very strong chance it was one person controlling two accounts (which is cheating).

@PotatoPillager Yeah, I think it was one guy stream sniping me, controlling 2 accounts (probably one on pc and the other on their phone). Might have been a friendly stream sniper trying to help me win or just wanted attention. They definitely weren't trying to make me lose. But using 2 accounts is cheating. So is playing with a friend in ranked. So is stream sniping (because it amounts to playing with a friend). People can call me paranoid all they want, I stand by my call that this was probably a cheater. (and yeah, playing a game filled with subtle cheaters can make a man a little paranoid)

Honestly with the way that purple broke you at the start, I thought they were planning on 2v1'ing you to win on stream. That is, until you verbally called them out for it, reported them on stream, and then still managed to push them out of the south. At that point they probably felt like they had already lost, so they instead started acting overly friendly thinking it would somehow make it look less suspicious, as well as hoping you would be less harsh on them if they were nice to you.

I feel like CG was talking himself into this theory that it was a cheater. Honestly, I have seen this avatar quite some and that they replied simultaneously can be a coincidence. Because aside from that they didn't seem to collaborate, with purple even attacking black and black asking you to attack purple and black being happy (smiley laughing with tears) that purple was badly hit by you... I don't think we saw cheating but CG fantasizing about that the whole game...

I don't think they were cheaters. a) they did attack each other quite frequently b) when purple broke the alliance when you attacked him, black - assuming they're the same person - would have either immediately broken that alliance or broken when purple's turn ended/when they take control of black c) Black killed Purple (pure and simple; it doesn't boost Purple's account if they're first out and it doesn't help black making a target of himself by getting an elim 🤔 Cry laugh emoji after getting rid of purple in SA: IMO it's just a more talkative person Updating as I watch and the end was pretty sus as a Stream sniper I got to say ... -_-

Killing purple meant he got 2 cards CG couldn't get and that we couldn't judge how they played at the same time so I don't think that proves too much they weren't collabing, joining with 2 accounts and killing whichever is doing worse for their cards as soon as it's profitable would be a pretty good way to cheat in progressive risk imo...

No, I saw suspicious behavior because I've played the game enough to know it when I see it. It's called subtle cheating and it's a common thing in not only Risk but also most other online pvp games. Subtle cheaters will cheat in a way that casual players won't notice and veteran players can't easily prove.

i think You were right to report the guy since it is just ruining the game and you probably wont get in trouble for false reporting as long as there's convincing reasons to it. I'm almost certian that they are a stream sniper and collaborator since they both did things that collaborator and stream sniper would do.

I'm sure it's possible that they were collaborating, but it doesn't seem very likely. They could have done quite a bit better if that were the case and all of the things you pointed out are more likely coincidence. Even if they were a new player, there's too many things they could have done better if both players were the same player. "The same avatar" does not = cheating. Stream sniping seems much more likely, even though you won't provide a schedule of when you plan to stream, people do still tend to figure it out.

I think the black player cry laughed because from their pov you just fed them the purple kill. The acceptance of the alliances was similar in time, but I'm pretty sure you resent the request to purple at the same time as you sent the request to black. I think you got stuck in the mindset that they were collaborating, and then confirmation bias kicked in. In many other videos you have people giving random laughing emojis and don't think they are stream sniping. In my mind it's more likely they weren't sniping & collaborating, but let's see what the Devs say.

Might even have been a "friendly" stream sniper (some stream snipers like to try to beat the streamer, others like to help the streamer win - those are called "friendly" stream snipers but they're still viewed as a problem because that's still cheating and unfair to other players in the match).

I don think they are collaborators, since it didnt really seemed like it to me Ive had games before where i 100% got reported for collab too, because some random guy kept to not break me even tho he definitely should have. they basically gave me the win just because i didnt attack them in the early game (Im not sure if that is the real reason for them not breaking me, but i did take those wins happily) Things like that just happen sometimes

risk doesnt investigate reports, they count reports, so basically other people must report them for them to get banned , if they dont get enough reports they will never be banned , which means if they are active they MIGHT get banned, but if they are not active they will never get banned , because you can only get reported from inside the game lobby FYI kinda ting ,,,

With Age of Empires the first game you have about a 1/3rd to 1/2 win rate if you learn how to play the game and that is at any level of mastery. In Age of Empires 2 you have at best 1/2 win rate if you are among the top 20 players in the world with the rest of the people losing blatantly over 99% of the games. Age Of Empires 2 is not a strategy game its luck game because you need to get lucky you don't get the wrong empire and you need to get lucky your opponent is not an empire that is just far superior to yours and you need to get lucky that your spawn on the map is not absolute trash and you need to get lucky that your recourses are not absolute crap or in the wrong spots and you need to get lucky you basically don't have billions of problems. Age of Empires 2 is just a piece of crap game. Hell Age of Empires 2 is so bad that they are adding Age of Empires 1 empires to the age of Empires 2 game because Age of Empires 2 is failing to keep fans do to how garbage and impossible it is to win especially if you get paired with a top ranked player while being a noob. Its seriously not fun to try and play a game against the top world players when you are just trying to learn the game. Also another problem with Age of Empires 2 that is seriously fucked up is in Age of Empires 2 the top player Viper he has been proven to have cheated throughout his entire carrier in the game and he works for the company that runs the game and he made it to where you can have people watching you play and its only recently within the last 2 years that people have started to be allowed to know if someone is watching their closed game but its been vastly known by the non top players that the entire top 150 players are all cheating bastards who just never get called out on it because they work for the company under the positions that you would call out cheaters to. So yea cheating happens in all types of games.
