Cool riding and review. You really need to have it for some time to really get the concept idea of the wheel. I was one of the first in Scandinavia to get one. I appreciate and love Leaperkim for that. I've done a lot with this wheel that no other wheel can do. The range is one. The average speed the other. Now there is wheels that can go faster, but not all go that for longer, haha. Sherman concept and build, is what the community like for endurance and reliability on the road. Hands down. Thx for a good input on the road impression. I do ride with the offroad tire, but I might test the Michelin one, one day. Your spot on! Cheers Chooch! Keep on!

As a big dude 250lbs in gear (tall not obese) that owns 2 Sherman's and a Monster Pro, I can tell you without a doubt that nothing beats these bigger battery wheels. 1800wh wheels are fun and light but the battery sag is so bad for us heavier guys that I rairly ride my 1800wh wheels anymore. The Monster Pro is a big powerful cruiser. The Veteran Sherman is an RS-19 HS without battery sag and about 30% more power. If you're a big guy and want one wheel. Get the Sherman. It's about as perfect a Unicycle as it gets. Plus the fender they sell is so good it makes Gotway Fenders litterally run away in shame. (It covers the whole back end) My Sherman crashed twice and the fender never moved or broke.

If youre satisfied now, just WAIT till You open it up and see the internals, perfectly balanced battery packs, cable routing, NO HOLES chassis ;-) Youll hate begode quality afterwards so dont do it unless u prepped to be amazed over the difference of internals. Insane riding as always 👌 Was weighing between Ex.N and Sherman as i prefer a corner zippy wheel as my favourite 16" Tesla i was leaning towards an ex.n but then i saw the quality got even worse since tesla v1 and i knew Sherman (ups and downs since start but issues on s tottaly different level than GotWay). Now they finally nailed the increased pedal height, rim width ... its like race fine tuning...while begode don't give a crap bout anything other than speed and most of all sell sell sell. So Shermie ordered a week ago...next year inmotion v12 looks intriguing, 16" fast wheel WITH INSANE quality...if they nail the speed and torque.... all in. But seems they have some milage to go still on initial reviews but man it looks promising for summer 2022

I first read of this device in the Robert A. Heinlein book, "Starman Jones", published in 1953. A self-standing, powered unicycle was the protagonist's means of transportation in the first act. I just saw one of these unicycles today in the wild. Man, it does look like fun but I only drive four wheeled vehicles. I'd suggest putting flashing LED warning lights on your helmet. That's help with visibility. I mean sides and rear, plus the headlight in front. I'd think that would be tiring with no seat. With your legs always in a bit of a crouch position to take up the bumps, you'd have to get fatigued before too long. It might benefit from a seat with a good suspension.

What i never understood, They can make this onewheels with 3kw + batteries and a 2500 watt motor. But ebikes are mostly seen in 1000 watt motors or 750watt 500 watt. with at minimun 10.4 AH battery.
@modris29803 жыл бұрын
Motor watt ratings are fake marketing or misleading at best. General hub motors can go up to 2500-3000 Watts. But the motor speed is limited by the battery because more volts = more speed (V/Rpm for stator). 48V * 20 Amps = 960 W. 36 V * 20 Amps = 720 W but it's often limited to 15A i think for 36V batteries because it's too much amps going through cells so 36 * 15 = 540 W. So the same motor can be 250, 500, 750, 1000 or 2500 Watts depending on the battery. You can read more about it here - ebikes.ca/learn/power-ratings.html So if you want more amps at some point you have to increase the volts which in turn will increase speed. So going from 48V to 72-96V will also mean it's a bigger battery. 96 * 20Ah =1920Wh and you can put about 40 amps so 96 * 40 = 3840 Watts. Of course you can keep increasing the amps but at some point it shortens cell life because cells get too hot. I paid about 489 euros for 48V17.25 Ah (only 828 Wh) battery from Germany (because of form factor). Assembling the cells is cheaper if you build more than 1 battery and you can choose any form factor. What matters is the cells they use have to be from a quality manufacturer like Samsung SDI INR18650-35E. This is why i'm on the fence about these EUC's. They use cheap cells that are made and assembled in China. Batteries are no joke and the only reason Gotway changed their name to Begode is because all of their new wheels burned themselves up because of the wheel design and most likely cheap batteries (kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z3yWp4N6bcepoqM)

Some places have legal limits for ebicycles motors, for instance Australia has a 250 watt motor limit to be a legal electric pushbike- otherwise it's classified a motorcycle and needs to be registered and comply as a legal motorcycle. Pretty much nobody complies though because you can get anything you want off ebay and a cop doesn't know what 250 watts look like!
