Thermals didn't make any difference in my test, probably as the SSD didn't max out anyways at these speeds. Faster enclosures would be nice indeed, lets see if I can get hold of any!

I bought an Orico enclosure and put Crucial P3 1TB but the sequential speed is just 40+mb/s.. What would be the possible problem? We tested the ssd and install it to a CPU and it works. But my main purpose is as external drive and with the orico enclosure the speed is too slow. The tech said that the problem is in the enclosure, so I change it and has the same result😔

Enclosure is 10 Gbps and SSD is 7 GBps (56 Gbps), so it will slows down significantly.

​@@ablebadger4I got the first one and it failed immediately for me. Trying to find new options. I got the ADATA Legend 960 Max it got super hot when I was transferring 100GB worth of files now the external is not working 😂
