I was always under the impression that play rec was for players determining between run and pass (and recognizing play action). But I thought awareness would have played a bigger role. Interesting stuff

Would like to see this done with a more drastic difference in the mental attributes. Put all the coverage stuff at 75 and athleticism at 99. Then 99 coverage and 90 athleticism. Because, lesihonest, it doesn't matter how good the coverage attributes are if the athleticism is under 90 they getting beat.

The problem starts with the "Definition of Madden." Its gone from Regs to Madden is Ultimate Team that provides magical power cards. You cannot use Regs to show MUT. They play differently in every way.

Yes do a test to see if OLB’s are better at getting pass rush on the edge of the LOS or if it is DE’s that get better pass rush sheds

I had a 1st rd 1st pick LE who i moved to ROLB who had all the attributes but low PLAY RECOGNITION...what I noticed is he was slow off the snap of the ball and on some plays would face away from the play and stand still, also he would get into a jog animation even when the RB or QB ran or rolled his direction...in yr 2 after gaining xp those actions happened less (this was in FRANCHISE MODE where I only played offense and my defense was on SLOW SIM so I could watch his actions) Madden 23

If you only play regs like me, let me save you some time. linebackers don't animate when coverage so keep using safeties there. I play match coverage as well using the Patriots. I tested this out with Matt judon and dontae hightower, two good linebackers and for the life of me I just could not get them to swat or pick the ball most of the time. Not sure if this an issue in Mut because I don't support that mode. You're welcome.

Yepp I believe he would have! So yeah to me if they are equal speed athleticism I would use LBs but I think if there is a speed difference I would go safteys.

Great video, but I honestly think it would be better if they had the same attributes and the only difference was play rec and AWR. I also would have taken off all abilities because that clouds your data.

Personally I think so. I play regs a lot and if I put a safety in at LB they play worse. So I use the LBS when I play. UNLESS there is a package that puts them in a that spot. Like in the 46 they got that speed package. That usually works well

@@KingReggie_2 to me there isn’t as much of a gap in mut as regs. Like mut honestly lol they all feel good, but in regs, if I put idk Amos in a mlb he gets smoked every play, but if I keep him at safety he usually plays a lot better.

What it looks like is, regardless who is where lol the footwork is abysmal so whoever is faster is gonna have the advantage haha 🤷🏾 Did you test it with mid to short route in c2/3? I’m curious how that turns out. But lol they all react the same it’s just obviously the most athletic person at that point is gonna make more plays. This was a good vid.

I think zan was specifically speaking on LB spot cuz he was talking bout ray lewis and Luke kuechly.. he did mention cbs at ss but the meat n pototes was bout ss at lb and the dominio effect for the entire match defense

Yeah no he def put a emphasis on the the LBs but his reasoning was because the is a Nerf to PRC. He also stresses that he values PRC in his D over speed. Honestly i thought he made some interesting points it inspired me to test it out. But from what i found in literal is very little if any effect from PRC or moving positions

What I’ve seen is that players lose overall rating if you put them out of position, so that should affect them, no? For example, if I put Ted Hendricks at MLB on a 4-3 61 Defense. A lot of people recommend that though, so I don’t know

Yeah maybe in other ways but i was really just testing pass coverage and i tested them for hours and found no where that the real LB was performing better

From what I've seen, the OVR is just an avg of the stats that are considered the "main" stats for that position. So, yes if you sub someone in at another position, their OVR changes because the "main" stats for that position are different, but it doesn't change anything inherent in their actual playable stats. another reason why OVR really doesn't matter that much

Good day sir. I enjoy your content. i have a situation. Madden 22 when ever i throw the pass deep. I hit left knob stick back and then click on the receiver and then hit triangle but the receiver does not animate. So the receiver just looks at the ball and the DB simply intercepts the ball. I mean i look at the attribute of the recievers ''Catch 88. Jump 93,'' and lose every jump ball EVERY JUMP BALL. So good is the attributes if they do not even animate when you user the receiver. Please make it make sense.
