Try this ! After cooking, let cool the grill then just throw your grates on the grass. Leave them overnight so the dew work its way onto the grime. The following morning they are just so easy to brudh clean.

I used the lemon and salt method on a hot grill after cooking …it actually worked great but looked rusty when dry. I love my grill floss, just don’t understand why it’s so expensive and why the hook replacements aren’t available or they’re the same price as a new floss set.

Yes, best results when grates are hot.

I use a grill brush for every day cleaning but that high heat is key when you need to clean grates/heat deflectors etc. 👍

High heat is always the go to but always good to have a few simple ways to do the job!

The onion cleaning method is meant to be done with a hot grill (use a grill fork to hold the onion). The moisture in the onion creates a deglazing effect, similar to how tossing a bit of wine or stock (or diced onions) into a pan after you're done cooking some meat will deglaze the fond that was left behind.

Do you find that foil scratches ceramic coated shelves?
@BartlowsBBQ2 ай бұрын
I don’t believe it had any issues.

@@BartlowsBBQ will have to try foil. Been using the wooden paddle scraper, but it doesn't do a good deep clean. I prefer not to use chemicals if possible
