As someone who’s done eBay reselling I can tell you the vast majority of these items are going to take weeks to months to sell. Additionally you have to understand it’s a buyer’s market so you are going to end up selling most of these to the “best offer” and drop a couple bucks or more per item.

The funny thing is, his side huddle is his side job. From what I've read off and on about this guy is that he's a jobless kid with rich parents that he mooches off of, in fact never had a job before in his life. This is what I've heard of him at least. So this is why I say that his side job is side huddle because he doesn't have a job. So therefore, I doubt he barely breaks even with returns if he keeps up the way that he does. It's almost exactly like those folks that keep in trying to sell shit to pawn shops, especially the type of people that try to convince the clerk that half or a few high end items aren't "stolen"

After taking the product home, inventorying it, and then spending the time to box up and ship it to FBA, for FBA to receive and process the product takes about 2 weeks. Depending on how hot the item is, it can sell instantly or take weeks. Once the product has sold, it takes about another 10-14 days to receive payment from Amazon. So 21-28 days to actually see the Money in your account

I've been an ebay Seller since March 2005...so I know for a fact, rarely do things flip as quickly as we may hope. But I did list the cute lil bugger 🐈🐱...he can stay until someone shows up with the 💰. I have a room dedicated to inventory of things I've found along the way. 90%+ Off. Happy Thrifting!🛒

So people will just look for it somewhere else where it’s not overpriced. Clearance flips sound good but in reality they rarely work. Maybe with high end tools and other brand name stuff but ransoms like this don’t really sell like everyone thinks. So before you go and spend your savings on a bunch of something that is marked clearance, remember that a large chain store can’t sell it.

That’s the hustle tbh. Like any store you need to stock up with so much product that you can constantly make sells and make money daily. If you just have low stock or a niche you end up with no profit because stuff takes forever to sell. Truthfully while you’re waiting for the big items to sell, you have tons of little stuff can sell. I used to do this, thrift, garage sales etc. Was a full time 6 day a week job. Some months made good money other months barely made rent and bills.

Stores put products that don’t have a “best before” etc date in clearance sections a becaue the item is taking up space by taking a long time to be sold so the store will lower the price because it’s better for profit to sell it for something than nothing even if it is still a loss. Reselling these items is absurd because if a large scale supermarket can’t sell it then the likely hood you will sell it in an efficient and worthwhile amount of time is low.

A big Minecraft golem a month or two back going for 80% off what they cost online. Yesterday a metal Mandalorian character that goes for upto $100 online going for $24 mint in box, they had 5 but only one where the box was pristine. Too poor to risk the money at the moment though.

As an eBay/Amazon seller you basically have to be gettin g stuff with bulk pricing and have a facility for cheap storage because it will sit for a long while. So this is not a side hustle it’s leaning more towards you need to start a small business.

Stop saying “side hustle”. There is nothing seedy, dangerous, or difficult about it. It’s flipping shit one buys at WalMart for god’s sake.
