As someone who’s done eBay reselling I can tell you the vast majority of these items are going to take weeks to months to sell. Additionally you have to understand it’s a buyer’s market so you are going to end up selling most of these to the “best offer” and drop a couple bucks or more per item.

So this is why I say that his side job is side huddle because he doesn't have a job. So therefore, I doubt he barely breaks even with returns if he keeps up the way that he does. After taking the product home, inventorying it, and then spending the time to box up and ship it to FBA, for FBA to receive and process the product takes about 2 weeks. That’s the hustle tbh. Like any store you need to stock up with so much product that you can constantly make sells and make money daily. Stores put products that don’t have a “best before” etc date in clearance sections a becaue the item is taking up space by taking a long time to be sold so the store will lower the price because it’s better for profit to sell it for something than nothing even if it is still a loss. Reselling these items is absurd because if a large scale supermarket can’t sell it then the likely hood you will sell it in an efficient and worthwhile amount of time is low.
