Honestly, for someone just getting into watches, Aliexpress is a great way to try out a load of different styles, sizes, colours, complications etc for very little money, to see what you actually like before you splash the cash on a big watch purchase that you might end up having some regrets about.

I've been impressed by AliExpress brands in the past, but you gotta spend some money. I paid $30 for a Pagani watch that I wear regularly, stunning ice blue dial that looks fantastic on a brown leather band. Another dive watch I paid $60 for a ceramic dial and bezel, it's not bad at all. I'll keep building my own watches from AliX parts, though. Great video Elliot

Great video ! Now if I were you I would review watches from Aliexpress like San Martin, Boderry, Baltany, Steeldive etc…. you will be completely blown away by the quality vs price !! 4:42 every Chinese watch band with this style of clasp eventually has the springs go a bit loose or something and it becomes easy for just normal wrist movements to sometimes disengage the clasp. At least the depoyant is still there so it's never fallen off, but the few with this I've tried have all done this shortly.

I work as a baker in south america , so i cant spend too much money in watches, but i like them. Casio and other brands here are expensive, so i Google and found Aliexpress watches, now i have 2 digital sandas, 1 digital skmei, 1 escapement time, 1 addiesdive, 1 saphero and 1 tomi, and waiting for a digital synoke and a digital ohsen . The third watch you showed in your video is the one I got too, but for even cheaper! €1,79!! 🤩 people love it! Made the bracelet a bit smaller at a very well known (and pricey) watch store here in Cologne and they loved the watch! I asked them how much they thought I was worth and the woman who made it shorter for me said between €300 and €500. She nearly passed out when I said I only paid €1,79 😂

My old man was a commercial scuba diver back in the day when divers actually still used dive watches. Back when we didn't have dive computers to tell us everything we needed to know. (Yes I'm also a certified diver). Pops said that back in the day, the dive watches would usually last about six months before they had to be replaced. Even the really expensive ones. This would have been sometime in the 70s or early 80s. Also I highly doubt that green watch could handle 3 atmospheres of pressure.

Just bear in mind for anyone who doesn't know, most watches from that website that are under 40-ish pounds come with zinc-alloy cases, not steel, and the plating on them can degrade quite quickly. They also tend to have poorly defined edges and surfaces because they're cast, not milled. Check the specs before ordering.

Thanks for your hard work and creative approach! Cheap watches are definitely interesting. It's always amazing when manufacturers put so much in one product cutting corners and spending the budget in the most effective way they could think of. More expensive watches can't deliver so much value for money as a good cheap watch so they are just safe boring options that just barely meet expectations. Watches are not THAT complicated they tell us. They are not microprocessors that could only be made in like one or two places on the whole planet. Throwing money in watches reach the quality and coolness limit fast enough. Like $300-$1000 would buy a good watch but paying more would result in getting a useless fancy toy with brand stories which keeps time bad since it's hard to create something smart and technological and it's easy to just sell XIX century technologies and traditions.

This is the first video of yours I've ever seen, pretty different to the majority of KZbin watch review channels. The reality is, there's a load of cheap shite on Ali Express. But there's also some really good stuff, especially San Martin, Baltany etc. If I compare my Seiko Prospex to my San Martin diver, there isn't 800 quids worth of difference. BTW, Moon Biffy is my new fave Chinese brand name 😅

Working as a watchmaker for the best company selling watches right now because Rolex doesn’t have many stores or watchmakers, the use another company to sell them all around the world. They make people wait years to get one I’ve seen millionaires go crazy for them and I’m like why? Also the worst part of them is that they will only run for 4 to 6 years and you have to service them. The service for an overhaul is around 1/6k and they don’t do partial repairs, so if the bezel pops off or the Crystal shattered , maybe the crown broke, you will have to do full service. So you might as well choose *amzwatch*
