@lastdefenderofxhotl6 жыл бұрын
Edgie Braahhh That 8 minutes of stand up is unsurvivable Gus couldn't do it and his defensive standup is better than Jones, DC didn't do anything to Rumble until Rumble chose to go to the ground with him. Has great takedown defense and Jones does get hit which isn't an option against Rumble at all. He's also the "bigger" and stronger guy, he's only punching up a little and Jones reach isn't as big of a factor like with Gus. We've also never seen his actual sub defense all of his sub losses are Rear Nakeds. Not saying he beats Jones just that he's a definite problem but if he can deal with Rumble he has no reason to be afraid of Heavyweights like at all.
@RomeroXVII6 жыл бұрын
Last Defender Of Xhotl ..He didn't choose to go to the ground lmao.
@lastdefenderofxhotl6 жыл бұрын
Romero XVII Rumble first fight lands a knockdown thinking he'd rung DC's Bell and looking for the TKO he jumped on top and DC recovered then proceeded to pick him apart from bottom and eventually get the reversal where he wore him out with his top game. Only after that was DC able to get takedowns on Rumble so yes it only ever went to the ground because he chose for it to as before that Rumble was fresh and had already denied 2 of his takedowns and still denied one after being gassed from DC's top game. Fight 2 he consistently denies DC's takedowns, beats him striking, breaks DC's nose and yet in the second round he decides to attempt a takedown on an Olympian. Both fights he lost because he chose to go to the ground. He still has one of the best takedown defense ratings in MMA and he's fought in 4 different weight divisions with some. Yet before his first fight with DC he'd only been taken down five times and that was his 24th fight. Against DC the Olympic wrestler the fight only went to the ground because he wanted it to at some point.

When using Jon Jones online I’m really good and have not lost with him once, u have to be a tactical striker and target the head while being very aggressive, use many head kicks, lots of over powerful overhand punches. A combo that works really well is holding l1 and then tapping both punch buttons, with his long arms it’s hard to block, I have probably won 90% of the fights with Jon by first round knockout

Always found that even though you can't throw boxing combos on the inside with bigger fighters, it's easy enough to just block 2 or 3 strikes followed by a single planted hook or uppercut counter. Typically stuns your opponent enough for you to lunge back and follow up.

You should use more oblique kicks, the front side kick and the push kicks to the body, they help keep the distance and I like using the 12 to 6 lead elbow to catch them as they close the distance. The knees are good to work their body down as well. Good video, pal!

@matthewreid11756 жыл бұрын
Why do you judge Jones and stand by it? The first test he failed in 2016 before UFC 200, was proven to be tainted supplements. Meaning he did Not intentionally cheat. The second one he failed was on July 28th, 2017. The weigh in day before the actual fight. He also passed his drug tests on July 7th and 8th 2017. "Turinabol" is a steroid that takes weeks to get results from. So the steroids used in that time frame would of had no impact on the conditioning/pace of the fight. Jones slowed down DC and exploited his tendencies. Whether you like it or not Jones is the better fighter. He also is arguably not intentionally taking performance enhancing drugs.
@Reimastered6 жыл бұрын
Matthew Reid Them why is his win over DC still a no contest? Because he cheated.
@matthewreid11756 жыл бұрын
Zoe - It's a no contest because he tested positive, yes. But like I said.. He passed his tests 2 weeks before the fight. So Turinabol would have had no effect on the outcome or pace of the fight. Daniel simply cannot compete with a intelligent fighter like Jones. You can ignore all that and continue to say cheater but you know you're lying to yourself. Steroids didn't make DC lean into Jones' high kick.
@Reimastered6 жыл бұрын
Matthew Reid Try answering my question. Why hasn’t it been reinstated?
@matthewreid11756 жыл бұрын
Zoe - I already did (answer your first question, so nice try bitch). Reinstated? USADA is deciding later this month whether his failed test was intentional or not. All that aside.. did steroids make DC lean into Jones' head kick?
@senzuh47376 жыл бұрын
A tip if u dont mind... if u set up low leg kicks then body shots..it'll make ya opponent block low which sets up quick jabs, strong hooks and high leg kicks for potential rocks or knockouts. But its a grind of manipulation for 3 to 5 rounds.

I had the same issue with JJ earlier in UFC 3. When I do use him now though, it's an elbow and knee storm lol. I utilize elbows into the beginnings of combos and also use the Thai plum to hit them with strikes. He's very lanky, but that just adds another dimension of striking.
@REALMWS6 жыл бұрын
Jon focused to the body in his recent fight with DC was because he wanted to set up the head kick because DC has a tendency to hunch down trying to go for the single leg when opponents throw body kicks so he baited him by throwing a lot of throw away body shots to set up the head kick and his game plan worked too a T. Jon more often then not focuses primarily on staying on the outside and avoiding throwing close range strikes when people come in close on Jon he clinches up and beats them up inside.
@Advegsu6 жыл бұрын
reason he goes to the body is to reinforce dc's bad habits aka dipping his head to the side and dropping hands trying to catch that body kick, dc dipped his head to the side and tried to catch the kick to the body, but instead of going to the body that one time jon went upstairs and caught him clean
@Kingslayer15726 жыл бұрын

jones only went to the body in the last fight to exploit dc's weakness where he leans in to get enough momentum to drive in a single leg .( so he could land that headkick) he backed up, stopped suddenly and struck the body. DC didn't completly fall for it so Jon realised he needed to strike immediatly after he backed up and not wait and strike. Absolutely insane fight IQ. He mixes it up alot more in the rest of his fights not just body strikes.

Feel so bad for the DC in that last fight. He got a takedown then got it taken away from him then got knocked out on the feet. Great video and you really can use Jon Jones

This is almost certainly a stupid question, but when you're trying to deny a cage takedown, it's R2 + down, not R2 + away (direction of the takedown on their hud), right?

I love how they put in the icons like Wand, but it pisses me off how the new guys have prime stats, while guys like Hendo, Vitor, and BJ especially have stats from when they were tomato cans at the end of their career.

To complete ur use of John jones and I seriously consider using his rear roundhouse kick
@GamerSinceBirth5 жыл бұрын
Keep your distance, use his Kicks a lot, lead elbow, spinning back elbow, flying knee.. you should be using those signature moves of Jon Jones.

Need to use knees more when you're in close. Wait till he finishes his combo then a body knee 3/4 of those and hes hunched over
