Hulkbuster has been one of my favorite champs ever in this game. He was one of my first 5*s (I think my 3rd) and then I immediately duped him as well. Very shortly after that he was buffed and became one of the best champs in the game. Flash forward to today and my hulkbuster was my second 6* r4 tech champ (had to take warlock up first). I was so excited when they announced him as a 7* in incursions crystals. I really wanted HB obviously but I ended up pulling Angela. Honestly this may have been for the best considering I never ranked my 6* angela and now I am appreciating how powerful she truly is. And I still have my 6*R4 HB so I'm definitely not unhappy with my pull.

a while back I got him as my second 6 star and didn't think much of it until I started playing with him and instantly became my favorite champion, he was my first rank 2, first rank 3, and first rank 4 champions. I use him for a LOT of things and he may be my first rank 5 unless I pull the 7 star one. Nice to see Hulkbuster getting more attention now, he is very underrated.

He's just a better version of what Civil Warrior should be or in a similar way in any case. Friendly with suicides (reduces the potency of bleed and poisons on 25% per each armor up), reduces OAA from the opponent at 20% per each armor up (80% as defender), a lot of energy resistance, critical resistance. An easy damaging debuff (shock on heavys), armor break, drain power, your speacials are unblockable, you get a bonus when you hit the opponent's block. Duplicate you gain a decent amount of regen in my opinion. He is so complete in many ways as a tech champion tbh.

Great video, Mike. I got HB from my Incursions crystal, too,vso: thanks for the tip on pausing before throwing SP2 - works 99% of the time! You mentioned Nimrod, and also the Sorcerer Supreme synergy, so take a closer look at the two: Nimrod reduces Armour Break Potency by 100%. Which usually means reducing it to zero. But HB's synergy with SS increases it by 30%. Standard kabamathematics would mean that the SS synergy means your Armour Breaks still have 30% Potency (about -1012) - give it a try 😉

With hulkbuster, for the special 2 try dashing back and then canceling the dash back with the special like with ghost. I’ve found that the AI sometimes just YOLOs it and attacks when you try the pause before the special. It seems to me the dash back cancel is more consistent

Nah, this is the way - you need to time it properly. The dash back is very inconsistent depending on the AI.

I pulled Ronin from my crystal. Not who I was hunting for, but I just happened to be in a Line chat with someone who is absolutely smitten with him and got incredibly jealous when I pulled him. So, instant advice on how to use him to his fullest, which was really neat. I've loved Hulkbuster ever since I was rolling with 5*s several years back. He was one of my mainstays in so much content back then, but I only recently pulled him as a 6* and since he's a 7* now, I haven't felt too inclined to rank him up. But if I ever pull the 7*? Heck yeah! Love that dude. That Korg fight was super impressive. I've had fights with ideal counters that have gone worse, so cheers on that. Something I thought about when you were talking over it was, do you have any videos (or just tips in general) on light intercepting? I've been trying to learn it more ever since I pulled Abs Man from the featured crystal earlier this year, but I haven't gotten it right yet. If you have any suggestions regarding how to improve in that area (or if you know if someone else has done a good breakdown of it), I'd love to hear it. Btw, have you ascended anyone yet? I took up my r5 Black Cat yesterday and went looking to see what some of you content creators had chosen, but didn't see you mention it anywhere.

Ronins damage with suicides is nasty my 7* does 15k lights and 25k meds and he still had 2 more crit buffs to get but the fight was over
