Some slime science :) Slime is a stretchy, almost gum-like substance that is the result of two chemicals called Polyvinyl Alcohol (or PVA) and Boric Acid reacting when mixed. PVA is most commonly found in glue, which is why glue is the base for most slimes. Boric Acid is found in Borax and laundry detergent, as well as contact lense solution/saline solution/eye drops (which are all the same thing), and are therefore used to activate most slimes. If a certain glue doesn't contain PVA, it cannot be used to create slime using the regular activation methods. In the same way, if a substance does not contain Boric Acid, it can't be used to activate glue-based slime.
