I started a "pension" in the mid 70s and contributed regularly (stock market) until I retired in 2015. Even with not having really good jobs, I accumulated over 900k. The perfect investment property is out there just waiting for you! If this house is the one for you, your offer will be accepted if it isn’t, it just means there is something better out there! Good luck! Also, I think it’s wonderful that you care and want to make your property nice, be a good landlord to your tenants and make sure you are doing what’s best and profitable for you, that’s just good business practice. It can’t hurt to go for a photo shoot and see what the modeling agency is offering. Who knows, it could lead you to a new, fun opportunity! Love how you’re settling in! But omg I felt my skin crawl when you said you weren’t putting money aside for retirement/pension. Everyone has their opinions on pension but pleaseeee put money aside for your retirement people. I think what I love most about Joel, not only does he in fact have model looks (yes that agent was correct in asking you that you that on you previous video), but he seems to be a genuinely kind, empathic, caring, and all around lovely person! For me, he doesn't give off the normal snobby, overly self assured personality so many influencers give off. We get to see his self-doubt, his emotions, this moments of anxiety -- we get to see him - relatable, down to earth Joel! And I love that! I love you two together. Your are such a sweet couple. I know what you mean about that "feeling" when shopping for a home. The first time that I walked into my current home, it hugged me. After touring the house, I went back to my old place and my body was actually tingling and I couldn't sleep because I was obsessed with THE HOUSE. I called in sick to work the next day, called my realtor, did another tour and put in an offer. I got the house the next day, put my other house on the market, sold it in five days and moved within three months. I've always believed in what is meant to be, will be. If you do not get this house, it was not meant for you and an even better one is in your destiny. Prayers and positive vibes that you find your dream property!

You should be watching Homes Under The Hammer. To me it looks like its solid and the bathroom is a real family bathroom size. But it looks like you'd have to strip every room back to plaster, renew the kitchen and bathroom, remove those polystyrene tiles on the ceiling and possibly check the roof, gutters, electrics and heating. I enjoy looking at houses, too. We've purchased 3 houses over the years. My suggestion to you is to visit the house 2 or 3 times before you make an offer. Don't be pressured too much with the possibility of a bidding war. Check plumbing, electric, appliances etc. If it's meant to be it will happen! You don't want a money pit. Good luck! It may be different in Britain, but in the US being recruited for a modelling agency is almost always a scam. The proof will be when they ask you for money to get the process started. Undeniably, you are GQ cover handsome, but be careful. Also, if they photograph you, watch out for cameras in the dressing room. I am Canadian, so I am always amused at the drama show causes in the UK. Granted I have the luxury of the fact where I live at the moment most of the previous record snow fall for the season is already melting. So it's quite the experience to drive up to the ski resort today and see the snow plow on the road and 8ft high snow banks of either side of the road and snow covered tree's so heavily laden they look like smurfs. It's even a contrast to hear Joel say the mini is not good in the snow! I have friends with a mini, snow tires make the world of difference ( we have lots to be grateful for ) when they say the mini handles most every thing with snow tires. Hoping you adjust soon!

Good on you Joel, investing in properties while you are young and able to do a good deal of the work yourself. Can't say I saw all that you did in this property, it was hard for me to get past the carpets and the wallpaper,lol. Personally I'm so excited about the model shoot next week, but I think someone should go with you.
