'I think, therefore I am' [Illustrated]

If you’re familiar with the history of Philosophy, you will have probably heard of a French philosopher called ‘René Descartes’. In fact, if you’re a student of mathematics too, then the name may also ring a bell. But even if you’ve never come across him before, I suspect that most of you would have heard of his famous dictum: ‘I think therefore I am’, or in its Latin: 'Cogito Ergo Sum'. But what exactly does it mean? I hope you enjoy this video essay explaining it!

really impressive video that sums up Descartes' text well. The idea of "I think therefore I am" has been disproven in the catty-corner conversations, though. Basically, thought a thing that has requirements to exist, and this means that it can never be the sole thing that exists

Regarding the toothfairy. I saw tje toothfairy while waiting for it as a kid and upon further investigation i learned that they only take the essence of the tooth and im norwegian and we have the tooth in an eggholder or glass of water so maybe thats the proper magic formula. The curtains also moved when the Tinkerbell lookalike checked me out and i think that would be difficult to fake for my imagination

Great theory. However, the order must be reversed to be true. The "order" of this great theory " is INCORRECT by Descartes, The opposite is proven CORRECT by mystics and yogis. Correct theory: I am, therefore I think. Incorrect theory: I think, therefore I am. A yogi can sit "still" without a single thought in his mind for days and weeks or even months. Therefore, "I am" comes first. I may or may not think if I wish. This means, I am without thinking or thought, I simply am. The yogic culture does not give any significance to thought. Another example: In a science experiment, a yogi sat "still" for some time and he was declared "Dead" by the scientific community as their machine failed to detect any brain activity, he simply sat still. Then they started poking him in the knee and elbow (causing sharp pain) to see if he was still alive, and when he opened his eyes, he asked why are you poking me? you did not tell me in advance "poking" was part of the experiment. They replied, according to our readings; you are "dead". He replied I can not speak if I am dead. They said: you must be either "dead" or "brain dead" according to our readings. The yogi accepted the first statement and left. I am, therefore I may think if I wish. I am, therefore I may not think if I wish.

What if it is "I think therefor you are" instead? Is our view of reality not chiefly maneuvered by our perception? Seeing as how the I can only be defined in the presence of the other, that is to say, by contrast, is the amended version not more accurate?
