Because women in their twenties(and unfortunately also in their teens) are by definition at the peak of their attractiveness. Wanting someone older has to do with the maturity of considering aspects beside typical beauty(things like big breasts) and unfortunately, contrary to definition, maturity does NOT necessarily come with age. The people who are in decades-long marriages but wish they were 20 and hot again, the people who wish they could trade their spouse for a younger(and perhaps richer) one are countless. You could argue they are even more than the ones who don't wish that. The man wants a dream. If you see men (or women for that matter) rocking styles that were hot in the 60s or 80s (like mullets), that’s because they were in their prime in that decade. That was their heyday and they want to hang on to youth. That’s what these older men try to do when they seek out MUCH younger women. And as people get older, the way they think of themselves don’t age with them. They still think like they are in their 20s/30s although they physically feel their actual age.
