Most annoying thing I see when people talk about him this season is how they always say he's suddenly improved a lot, when really he's always been a good keeper. Definitely better now, but he made it into AFC Wimbledon's team of the decade in 18/19, was Bournemouth's POTS in 19/20, and Sheffield United's POTS in 20/21. Very much on path to be Arsenal's POTS in 21/22. He's class, people have just only started watching him more now he's in a big 6 club.

I was definitely one of the doubters, watched him a lot for both Bournemouth and Sheffield United and was not all that impressed. But he have proven me wrong big time, he have been absolutely world class for Arsenal this season. Great on the line, great reactions, very demanding and vocal, leading his backline. What have impressed me the most is his work with his feet, he is one of the best keepers using his feet and his passing is absolutely vital to how Arsenal want to play. Great job Ramsdale, keep proving people like myself wrong. :)

I thought he was alright, a decent PL goalkeeper, nothing more. I thought Arsenal got him for a good second goalkeeper to Leno. I never in a 100 years thought he was going to be as good as he has been. I am a neutral fan, and watch a lot of football from different leagues, and for me he have been top 3 goalkeepers in the world so far this season. I was watching some footage from behind the goal by Leeds fans and it was noticeable how on his toes he was when there was any approach, Constantly shifting his position just tiny amounts but super quick. Great awareness is one thing but if your body isn't in place and ready to deal with the threat then you don't make the top. This guy will rarely get caught flat footed.

This guy could be up there with the best in the world in a few years time. You could clearly see the potential he has when playing got Bournemouth and Sheff Utd and the stick he got at 21/22 years old for being relegated in two consecutive seasons is outrageous. I can only think of a handful of 'keepers who play at the top level from a young age and manage to remain consistent throughout their careers. You only need to look at Joe Hart who made his name in the Man City team in 07/08 and made his mistakes too late which no doubt has impacted his career in later years (particularly for England where he should arguably have passed 100 caps). I could see Pickford going the same way as Hart a few years ago, thankfully his club have stuck by him and his performances seem to have levelled out.

Far too often we focus on the negative things. Aaron's case is a good example. There were also many people who actually thought that he WOULD BE a good fit for the team, and people who considered him to be solid. What I think is we can all relate is how good he has been. I was literally slating Edu and Mikel throughout the day the news broke that we are gonna sign this guy for 30M, relegated twice in 2 years. I was like no matter what, even if we have Arab ownership we will make hopeless decision. 5 months in How wrong am I, I'm happy to be wrong. Every signing has been massive. Nuno, Martin, Ben, Tomi, Sambi and Aaron have all been amazing just too good. Yes, consistency is key now, but future is bright. Love Aaron, keeping out Leno who has been superb for us.
