cursed reply, that's like saying don't watch the documentary, go do the thing instead. you don't gain the insight of the person who made the content and everyone is different so they don't come away from the same things with the same feelings/interpretations. it's the entire reason people who have played a game will watch an analysis of it

A combination that makes a lot of sense if you know/enjoy tteok-bokki, with the chewiness of the thick noodles and the spiciness of kimchi. I can never get enough of these whenever we go to a Korean restaurant that offers them.

Even when I can understand enough Japanese to function, places with that vibe of "we do things in a SPECIFIC way" are so intimidating. Not even about language, it's about not being different. Tons of pressure!

Are there no anti-discrimination laws in Japan? I've heard of places there who serve locals only and it's always surprising how this isn't illegal. Culture shock I guess. Even notice this in the city I live in, with a large immigrant population including Japanese. Japanese stores seem to begrudgingly serve non-Japanese people but can't turn us away since their business could get shut down for that.
