To me, it's pretty simple. People that were young in the early 2000's when those trends were popular are now adults and want to buy the stuff they liked as kids. Just like me and 80s/90s stuff. I know that's not the only reason, but I believe that's how the trends start, and then before you know it, everywhere you look is Von Dutch & Affliction.
