Thank you Rocky for sharing your family and friends with us! Brings back very fond memories. We had a very similar gang back in the day. You remind me very much of one in our group. He was a racer for Arctic Cat and his family owned a Cat dealership, and competed with the original 'Z' sleds. When we went on sledding trips to VT and Maine, it wasn't un-common for him to bring a clutch or other part into the hotel room and wrench to be ready for the next days ride. Sadly, the old group went their own way with starting families and some passing away. HOWEVER, it is great to relive similar times through your videos and many others on this platform taking us on their trail rides. I'm the guy with the 2004 Night Fire F7, sitting stored in the garage for years - 840 miles so far.😉

When I was a kid growing up in Utah, my brother started in snowmobiling with a panther and an EXT, he’s had every generation of cat and now has an Alpha. I am looking at getting into the sport and because of your channel I’m scouring KSL looking for older sleds that need a second chance at life and to get back on the snow. Thank you.

I love it!! Seeing that old triple sidehilling, triple pipes screaming, just so good! Love your channel, I too grew up riding ac. My dad had a 96 zrt 800 mountain cat. I was up at monte cristo yestetday on my 2000 Thundercat in kinda bad conditions. Couldn’t really see anything and snow was soft and deep. But it did it all. Only thing I really noticed with the stock 136 is if you want to get up a hill you definitely need to be already moving and or a run up. Excited to have a triple!

Cool stuff! Never rode the mountains out there. Always wondered how my ol Cat would do in the real deep stuff. I (still have) a 1995 ZRT 800 that I purchased new. I rode it for 1 season here in Michigan before I installed a 900 kit I got from a very successful Cat drag racer. It was the 900 cylinders ported (transfer ports much larger and some to exhaust), 900 pistons, slightly shaved heads, 39.5 carbs and clutch kit. WOW, it really woke it up!! On the trails, its a beast! Yet, under the hood, looks totally stock. Sounds stock too. Pump gas and was getting as good gas mileage as my buddies 600 sleds. EGTs look perfect. I haven't rode it in about 12 years.☹Sitting up on a cart in my shed... still in mint condition. I think about 5000 miles on it. Every season end, I would fog the motor and relax the suspension and track. So, Im pretty confident it will start and run. Maybe fuel pump issues? The winters have been so up and down here in Michigan, everybody got turned off on sledding.

Brotherrr, come on, everyone knows the finger tracks are absolutely TRASH! There are far better tracks that are made now!! That sled with A 153×2.6 and then remove the a-arms, cut them down, and narrow that ol iron up some! I totally agree the old sleds are so much fun! You can play all day in a small area! The fact I've been in 3 serious snowmobile wrecks and almost died in 2 of them, broke my neck in one and I was in a really bad motorcycle accident that broke my neck again fractured my lower back, broken ribs in 12 spots, split my jaw in half, 4 skull fractures, serious brain bleed on my frontal lobe, shattered orbital bone, shattered collarbone, torn muscles and ligaments in my right shoulder and flatlined in the helicopter im lucky to be alive and have a functioning body but I moved away from sleds for back country and now ride snowbikes cause they get stuck far less, they are a fraction of the work, and they don't kill my back and neck! But I still love trail riding one of my ol irons! I have 3 1998 polaris xc700s, a 88 indy 400, 1990 indy 500, a 1989 eltigre 6000 with factory twin pipes which RIPS!, a 2002 thundercat that has a bunch of work done and absolutely rips! Just picked up a 03 zr 900 that is show room shape with only 1157.4 miles! and a 98 xc700 that I am doing a full custom 1 of 1 build, It has a carbon fiber tunnel that just got built, the same guy is currently almost done with the 100% carbon fiber belly pan and hood! I built the motor and had a local machine shop build me billet connecting rods, I machined a bunch of titanium parts like all the front suspension parts and spindles, carbon fiber and titanium trailing arms, and a full carbon fiber 146 skid from 'carbonsled' that was ment for a new rmk! It's got a seat and tank from a 02 polaris. Bikeman built a pipe for it. And I machined a custom belt drive so I can fit up to a 3" lug but will likely run a 146×15×2.5 since it will only see the trails and wide open hill sides only! I didn't spend this much time and money to mess her up in the trees. I've been building this sled for the last 4 years. I can't wait to ride it.
