I did it from Saigon to Siam Reap. Number one: Make sure you either have a multi entry visa or have the travel agent in Saigon get you one before your trip if you plan to return to Vietnam. You can get a visa on arrival in Cambodia but not vis versa. It was a long ride but it was mostly tourist and I did get to see the real countryside of both countries. I wanted to see Ankor Wat and it did not disappoint.

Thanks for sharing! Depending on your country of origin, you can get a visa on arrival in Vietnam or even visa exemption whereas in Cambodia you have to pay for a visa regardless unless you're a citizen of an ASEAN country

Great video! Seems like a good budget option compared to flying. The scenery along the way looks pretty interesting too. Thanks for sharing your experience!

Thanks for your support Sergei, I appreciate your inputs here on the channel. The bus is not that bad and the road is quite ok on the Cambodian side

For flight you need to check in 2-3 hours before departure, and sometime the flight delay for hours. I think the bus is a good option, and it's cheaper too

I always go to Phnom Penh - Saigon by bus. Sleeping bus is the best mode of transportation I think.

The bus trips are long and slow, but still better than flying. At least you end up downtown. I use Giant Ibis in Cambodia, comfortable and reliable. Enjoy Cambodia.

@@perpetuallyabroad the train to Kampot/ Shihanoukville and to Battambang are also a nice slow trip. Old style. You got here in the hottest week. Siem Reap is roasting.

Surprising there's not more road accidents with the way traffic is so chaotic.

Same here. I do think there are minor accidents that go unreported tho. Guy was driving in flip flops ( thongs ) on the way back lol

Are the road more dangerous like going into the mountains with narrow ways?

even though the speedometer is not working....it's not like the bus drivers obey the speed limit 😂.....whenever i take buses on these long trips, i always compare them to like torpedoes on wheels 🚗🚀 😂😂😂

Haha true! I can live with the speedometer not working but ideally there should at least be the option of using a seatbelt xD
