"People" have been watching us for THOUSANDS of year. After doing some LONG research on the internet, I ended up finding some *HIGHLY CLASSIFIED* documents (from the U.S. Government). These documents talk about *Extraterrestrials and their technology.* I wish I could talk more about it... But my comments keep getting deleted after going into (much) further detail... Ill try explain what we know so far (and by "we" I mean the U.S. Government). According to them, we know of AT LEAST 6 different alien species in our galaxy alo5ne! They have been coming to our planet for THOUSANDS of years. Lets just say, "god" didn't create us.. These aliens, from the Zeta Reticuli star system have been altering our DNA/Genes for thousands of years. The extraterrestrials from this star system have done this to MULTIPLE species across our galaxy (and possibly the universe). I know this is A LOT to take in... I sent these documents to EVERY news source I could, to release them to the public.

Great video and excellent result Trevor! FYI I'm shooting in the same city as you with an f/7 Meade SCT. I've had really good success with 120s luminance, and 60s RGB Bin 2x2. From what I've researched, the key is swamping your cameras read noise, which with our sky glow, happens at around 90-120s with luminance. Anything beyond that is unnecessary as your signal to noise ratio doesn't increase.

That is pretty cool that you can make a living from this! A year or two back I took the cheap telescope I have to, either a star party at our local beach or a concert, maybe it was a combo. Despite not having a great eye piece or, well the whole thing people still really enjoyed it. From that moment I started thinking about what I could do to get "the sky" in front of more people. The past year also helped to cement the idea as people might not have been able to get out as much and were stuck at home. Of course things are changing again but the idea has stuck! 😎 I'm hoping to get a better telescope soon, and am even considering setting up a "whole sky camera", but that's more of a long term goal. However it works out for me, it's fun and enjoyable, and if I can help spread that joy and wonderment that makes it even better!

The strap fits perfectly between the losmandy-style plates and the scope. Jour milage may vary - but maybe its worth a try.

I still haven’t seen what I consider to be a well organized, great astrophotography book. You and Dylan should think about co-authoring one. I’m thinking something like John Palmer’s “How to Brew” for home brewing but the astrophotography equivalent. The demand is there and you guys have the audience in a burgeoning field. You guys could be the founding gods of the hobby with a book like that-really bring it out in a new way for our generation. With all the new tech the hobby is evolving so fast, there’s a lot of interest for something like that. Home brewing was at this same stage 15 years ago in terms of interest in the hobby beginning to explode.

Trevor - another excellent video, with choice info. Thank you. I have several items to ask/contribute. I, too , have an 11" Edge HD; I love it, and take it to many diverse star parties. (Picked up an Explore Scientific Triplet 127mm APO last summer to "broaden" my horizons.) Anyway, 1) I have used my dew shield (Celestron, but can be home-made) as a buffer of sorts for cutting down local light pollution - at least, the direct kind from neighborhood lights. 2) I was intrigued by one of my colleague's quick switch "gimmicks" for his eyepieces. Found out it was no gimmick, but a very serious Bader-Planetarium Click-lock for rapid changing of eyepieces. I not only purchased the diagonal (w/click-lock) but also the click-lock for the eyepiece receptacle on the base of the EdgeHD focal tube; I have not regretted it. Just a quick twist for either on or off, and it always centers perfectly. I can do it without disturbing the mount adjustment. 3) I am a Mac person. I see all this hardware/software for astrophotography, and very little compatible for Mac. Does the software that you use have Mac-compatability. I AM proficient on PC (my Master's assistanship in college had me as a computer tech, both platforms), but I really do prefer Mac. And 4) My Staffordshire Terrier "eats" grass and other backyard matter. When I consulted the vet, I was informed that she needed more fiber in her diet. I began including meals with more fiber, and that seems to have curbed her herbivore cravings . . . somewhat. Again, thank you for the fine videos. I live now in Utah, where the weather is somewhat better than Ontario (I moved from upstate New York/Finger Lakes). I empathize with your weather problems. Clear skies!
