Nice job, Tyler. I did this test a while ago and it matched nearly exact to what my IQ was 40 years ago. People confuse IQ with actually being smart. IQ means you know how to solve problems, which shows in most of your videos. Unfortunately, I think a lot of your viewers are confusing IQ with entertainment. We know you're smart, hell, I think you said you used to be a mechanic. It takes a higher than normal IQ for that. I think why people (especially the assmaster who wote all those comments) think you may not be so smart is because of funny things you do as part of your act. When you intentionlly mispronouce words for comedic effect. The ZUCK-IN-EE and MERR-LOT had me rolling. We all know that's an act too, though, because you've said Zucchini correctly prior to the video where you said ZUCK-IN-EE. If they can't handle you being at genius level (which you are according to that non-official test) then that's on them. Tell them to stick a ZUCK-IN-EE where the sun don't shine, and use a bottle of MER-LOT to numb the pain. The rest of us know better.

Last time I took an IQ test was on our honeymoon. 34 years ago. I scored 155 and my wife was only at 150. I don't think I would do so good. Especially on that one because my eyes can't focus on those dots. I need a poor eyesight IQ test now.

The patterns you need to recognize to complete each question vary throughout and go up in complexity. To Tylers credit he has good intuition and he "guessed" right multiple times without knowing why. But nature doesn't care what the "why" is in natural selection, it just culls those that fail. So I think he earned his ranking. Another example of this would be like Mr. Beast or someone else successful. A lot of the time it doesn't matter if you can build a rocket to the moon, because you can identify an online trend and make millions and never work another day in your life.

IQ is a comprehensive test of a bunch of different information processing processes in the brain. Pattern recognition is only one of those many processes. Tyler scored a 131 in only the pattern recognition test. This can’t give a precise estimate of his overall IQ however it can give a good insight into it. Think 131 +- 10. I underwent formal IQ testing while I was in high school a year ago. It was a multi hour process probably about 3 hours if my memory serves right. When I find my papers tomorrow I can post an edit for the results but I think I got a 129 overall with most scores in the middle 120s and a couple in the middle or top 130s. IQ doesn’t have a direct link to how smart you are however it does have a like to how easily you are able to retain information and processes new information.

@kritsadventures It's definitely something to think about, though. I paused the video at the one-minute mark and took the test myself from the website he was using. It gave me the same questions. I received an IQ score of 128. Honestly, I would say about 85% of the reasoning he used for his answers was the same reasoning I used for mine. It kind of reminded me of the video where doctors, CEOs, and a military guy all took the same IQ test, and the military guy received the highest score, which shocked everyone. Then the doctors tried to downplay it by saying how IQ tests apparently don't show intelligence. Anyway, it's an interesting watch and really reminded me of that.

This test told me I am impatient, and also maybe very dumb. Since it was on a timer I tried to solve each as fast as possible. If I couldn't figure it out in under 20 seconds then I just guessed. At the end it was like "You have 15 minutes left, do you want to go back and chech your answers?" No. "You got half of them wrong." I guess it doesn't matter how quickly you solve the questions, just as long as you finish before time runs out.

The part of the brain that develops language has nothing to do with intelligence. You can teach a very young child 4 languages relatively easily because that part of the brain is developing rapidly at that age, that doesn't mean the child is smarter than the children that don't have multiple language tutors available. (A child that had opportunity to learn multiple languages young, also will have a better developed "language processor" and will be able to learn new languages easier than a child who grew up with limited exposure to languages.) Pattern recognition is highly related to problem solving and the ability to figure something out (IQ is not about how much "stuff" you know, but about how well you can figure things out). Tyler is very smart, as well as entertaining. To say things like Boo-keys and Zuck-iny in order to drive chat interaction is a testament to the brilliance that is Tyler.

Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale, Fourth Edition (WAIS-IV) Verbal comprehension 132 Superior 98%ile Perceptual Reasoning 121 Above Average 92%ile Working Memory 105 Average 63%ile Processing Speed 108 Average 70%ile Full Scale 122 Above Average 93%ile Generally these all have a standard deviation of 15. All of these indexes are made up of two or three tests all with a mean of 10 and a standard deviation of three. I was a little off on my previous guesses of my scores. These are the official scores and official IQ level.
