Ashwagandha I feel saved my life in a way. I lost my dad in 2022, my mom and my beautiful wife past in 2023. I could not stop crying, metal negative thoughts and just sadness. I maybe had 2 hours of sleep at night. Most is all gone. I'm still sad at times but I'm able to deal with it in my new life.

What's really interesting is I had the exact same experience with ashwagandha. I distinctly remember telling my parents (who were concerned about my mental health) that I no longer had highs or lows. But more of a steady 30% emotional state that was easy to stay in. As far as other people I'm not sure. But hearing everything he said was exactly my experience

I've been taking ashwagandha for close to a year now, and initially I was taking it for the "increase in testosterone" part. (which I can't say it had any effect) But, I have continued to take it because of the calming effect it has on me. I've dealt with higher levels of anxiety since the last 2 years of college and I started to notice that after I started to take it I was no longer letting thoughts spiral out of control as often. It would still happen from time to time, but I was able to notice it and put a stop to it before it became a panic attack.

I’ve been taking ashwaganda for quite some time now. I truly think it changed my life in a way. I’ve lived my life super anxious and filled with anxiety and worry. Always stressing over unnecessary things along with depression. It brings me personally down to a perfect level. I could see how someone could say it makes them completely numb but as for someone like me it brings it down to a level that makes my life more livable. I’d suggest everyone to try it for a month at least.

I have been cycling Ashwagandha for a few months now, and tbh I only really got the benefits from it. People in my life have always called depressed, emotionless or angry looking. This however really changed when I started taking Ashwagandha, at least for me mentally. I have always had little to no worry about things and didn't really stress about anything because I never saw the point. And when I started taking Ashwagandha the only things that really changed for me were being happier, more focused and even less worried. Also I noticed my testerone levels rising because I got way more horny then usual. Also I've been on no fap for a while so I really wasn't horny at all before. Clear day and night difference for me. The only negative side effect I noticed was sometimes like once a week or once in 2 weeks I had a depressing evening where I looked at myself and all the things I could have done better tbh. This however wasn't dismotivation, it was fuel to do better and create a better life for myself. If u read this all the way, thanks for ur time :) Hope this informed someone, also keep in mind Ashwagandha is a personal experience not everyone has the same one.

In my case I tryed Aswaganda arround 2 weeks. First day I tryed I felt like I found the limitless pill. For real. I just felt to good. It continoued arround 1 week to be like this. Better socially, more masculine, working out like a beast, less worried.. but this last week I started feeling like it’s giving me a hangover. It’s like in the movie.. when I’m not on it I feel like I’m worrying more than before, im more in my head, and more anxious or insecure about the outcome. It’s weird.. I think im stopping it. And maybe try with less, less times. But for now I’m stoping.

I've been experiencing really bad depression and anxiety to the point of random panic attacks for the past 2years since my ex-husband and I separated and its been really hard cause most days i just dont recognize myself and my whole routine was thrown out the window. No energy, sad, paranoid, and very distant. I bought ashwaganda a few months ago after seeing it on KZbin and I think I took it a couple times b4 bed because I thought it was gonna make me sleepy since I kept hearing that it helped with sleep. So I didn't take notice to any effects. Then recently, I was feeling so drained and just meh and really didnt want to feel like that for my trip to PR and I went to look for my womens multi vitamins which I didn't find but I did find my prenatal vitamins and the ashwaganda pills and I have been taking them for the past week or so in the morning and I've been feeling not just like myself but the self I always feel inside. Ive been happier, more social, energetic, less stressed and just funner, if thats a word, lol. But anyway so far i want to cry tears of joy because u just don't understand how long it's been since I've felt not lost or like a battery that its almost time to throw away 😢. Anywho, i feel like the old me, like I can do anything now.

I have been going through the nootropics rabbit hole looking for the best supplements for my gaming needs. Ashwaghanda did miracles for me…. Faster reaction, my aim was more on point, better problem solving skills, I can get into “flow” faster, found myself yelling into the mic, yelling out orders, “move right, move right!” Pinging enemy, moving fast and intelligently, winning gunfights w MULTIPLE enemies. I know this works because I STOPPED taking ashwaghanda and started experiencing brain fog while gaming, not concentrating enough, reacting slower, not in tuned w team movements. My friends even started saying i suck now for some reason lol and I sat down started thinking wtf happened, what changed? And the only thing i can think of, I stopped taking ashwaghanda due to I ran out. I just received a new batch, started taking them again & now i feel like im slowly regaining my skills back. Old friends watching me play saying things like, “WHY YOU DONT PLAY LIKE THAT WHEN YOUR W ME?” Not knowing, im on ashwaghanda again. what were your specific dosages? I've seen recommendations of 200-800mg/day, so if you were going over that your dose may have been too high. alternatively you could be very sensitive to it, and need to move to a lower dose and/or every other day. if you are looking for a more athletic focus, I'd suggest looking into Tongkat Ali (400mg a day) and Fadogia Agrestis (600mg a day) I like your plan of taking it during acute anxiety or stress periods; use it to put the breaks on the cortisol.

I have not noticed any other differences as of yet.

My experience with ashwagandha is that it 100% works. Pros: It’s actually amazing for anxiety - that feeling of nervousness/tightness neck&jaw/butterflies in your stomach. It like… just turns that off. It’s quite crazy. Definitely reduces stress/cortisol levels and increases just peace of mind Cons: If you take too much you lose your drive/motivation. Cortisol/stress is actually a huge factor of motivation so when you feel at peace and satisfied - you’re generally likely to be less motivated. Definitely happened to me. Up for you to decide if that’s truly a bad thing or not tho. Take it before bed and you’ll literally feel like you didn’t sleep at all. From what I’ve heard this can be different for anyone but when I take it before bed I LITERALLY feel like I didn’t rest AT ALL and I did this for 3 consecutive days before realizing - holy crap I feel like I haven’t slept for 3 days. Take it around 1-5pm for best results. The pills I take are from NaturaLife Labs if you want to look up the dosing and the serving size is 3 pills but 1 pill has been the sweet spot for me of getting all the benefits I noticed on 3 pills without the negatives

@@westlinnstreets2349 what’s weird is I did feel like I was sleeping with less waking up in the night but I still felt unrested and terrible after a couple of days. Very strange indeed. Like I said tho if I don’t take it too close to bed time tho I have no problems

I am currently 68 years old and I normally exercise every day. I have been taking Ashwagandha for a few weeks in the powder form. I , for some reason I found it a struggle to do my exercise, I either lost interest or it was too much effort. I consequently started to gain weight and I think I may be having one of those side affects you mentioned. I am going to stop taking Ashwagandha and see what happens. I have almost lost interest in exercising. Thanks for your video.

I take it with magnesium and I sleep like a baby. Been taking it for probably 2 years now mostly consistently. I get bloodwork once a year and never seen any raised liver enzymes. I think that other than my sleep it has mild positive effects on stress and anxiety and probably a mild dampening effect on my emotions. Nothing that I think I would notice too much if I stopped. I think that when I stop I more so feel the effect of less good quality sleep than anything else. I take the 3600 mg pill from costco (1-2 pills before bed) (2 knocks me tf out but potentially am groggy in the morning if i don't get enough sleep)

I took it for 9 months straight at 1300mg (Clown Move) And it made me very drowsy. I didn't know it was doing that so it made me quit drinking in an effort to stop feeling tired all the time. It helped my anxiety or at least I think it did and I did shortly get a bump in sex drive. I've been off it almost 6 days now, stopped cold turkey, I had two days this week where I felt very good compared to the last few months, I started cleaning again too. I'm never taking it again.

I gained 20 lbs over the last 2 years taking ashwagandha. I felt unmotivated, feeling unworthy but calm, less sressed, increase in appetite, lower leg muscle pain that kept me up at night. i didn't want to gain weight. I finally put 2 and 2 together and i stopped last week. Hopefully i will start to lose the weight. I didnt know you weren't supposed to take this like a multivitamin. It worked for anxiety and stress though.

I took Ashwaganda for 3 months and I felt ,calm,my sleep was fantastic, and I arose early due to quality sleep.Things that normally would bother me didn’t make me angry at all,and usually if I watched a sad film I’d be in bits ,but I wasn’t. I will be finishing this months pack then I’ll be coming off it to see how I feel. But I could imagine it’s great for grief, exams,a break up as apposed to very strong anti depressives.

You shouldn't take ashwagandha for longer than 30 days because most of the time between week 3 and 4 the "negative" side effects begin. Also, reducing cortisol for a long time is not beneficial

My two week experience(I took root powder) is the same as yours regarding calmness and emotional numbness. Sleep did not improved, neither did libido or overall drive(suggestion - next time you take ashw, measure your T-levels before and after?). On two occasions I felt lets call it enhanced endurance in my training sessions. Generally I felt light headed and not normal. Conclusion - Not worth it. Similarly as you said, if I ever use it again, I will limit the use only for few days and in expectation of upcoming demanding time period. Now I am about to check other peoples experiences in comments.

Youve explained everything the way i experienced it. The side effects vary on the quality and the testing of the ashwagandha product for the amount of lead still found in it whether it's in the safe range or not.. I gave it up because of the side effects. I experienced them all in the end

Sounds like natural prozac/SSRIs. Anhedonia is possibly not a side effect, more an on target effect, if you think of it as an antianxiety medication. If you do not have a diagnosable anxiety disorder, you probably should not take this, just like you wouldn't take a prescription antianxiety med. If you have chronic anxiety/depression - sounds like it could be effective.
