I'm older than your Dad, and started listening to KPop in 1999 becoming a fan of FinKL. Not a huge Blackpink fan, but I've seen Wondergirls, Hyolyn, Red Velvet, Brave Girls, Itzy, aespa and more live. KPop concerts are the best I've ever attended, and over the decades I've seen many big names. The fans are the best, too, and come in all ages.

I'm 68, and I used to travel a lot in East Asia, and I saw how popular K-pop was, but never really listed to it. Then I heard a really catchy song by the Wonder Girls - Like This - and I couldn't stop playing it! Since then, around 2012-13, I've gradually become quite a K-pop fan, but quite selectively. Just (G)-Idle and Aespa right now, but I did like Itzy up to their last few songs. I hope they get back to form! Basically I like the bands that act rebellious! It's so incongruous - the rebel style combined with lovely fashions and choreography - I love it!, ;-)

I'm 66 like your dad... and I'm crazy about BlackPink. Was when we had a Covid-19 shutdown and I had nothing to do except watch KZbin ... and found BlackPink. I like Blues music so that was surprising. But I kept following them, I became "obsessed" ... but more so on the way that they were marketing the group. I'm a marketing guy, so it's an occupational hazard. What YG did, whether on purpose or not, was a truly marketing masterpiece that drove the Blinks crazy for more. Amazing .. from zero to a global phenomenon. I'm still following to see what happens next. Renew or not??? Could still be part of the master plan. But now... there's Babymonster.

Nah cuz my 68 year old mom who was with me and actually loves BlackPink was about as energetic as your dad was lol the most I saw her do was bob her head to the music and clap at the end of the songs but I mean at least it was quality time spent with your dad ☺

Awww that's very cute if you, that you took your dad to the concert! I mean yeah, he is a "boomer dad" (mine is too hehe), but I bet he did indeed had a wonderful time. Spending time with his daughter, experiencing something new and different! Lovely!

This video was adorable, even if your dad didn’t end up liking them by the end. “Jipoo” cracked me up bad 😂 My 56 year old father (who was already converted to a blink by yours truly) came with me to their concert as well back in august lol
