Best way to resolve this issue in my experience is to throw the resin, run around 100-200 blocks away from an entrance, and come back. It wont say your rep increased while you’re away from the hive, but once you come back it does. Got 100 rep this way

Can you please do a second episode on myrmex as you said “they don’t get enough attention”. Also I think the bug is made up it doesn’t make it impossible it just makes it tedious. They won’t pick up resin if they see you because they are too focused on you. You would know this because they actually picked up 1 resin which proves it possible

Hope they get fixed. They are pretty cool and the concept of building your own ant hive is very cool. Also many people say they dont pick up the resin cause they are aggroed to you. Maybe showing up while invisible helps.

The bug where the Queen disappeared after somehow getting to you happens OFTEN For some reason, they can kinda teleport/jump through blocks without warning, after enough time of being unable to reach a player they're supposed to be hostile towards. This happens even while they aren't aggroed, like if 5 minutes ago they were looking away and you haven't moved since, or if you're AFK in a wall. They jump through blocks desperate to attack you and start taking suffocation damage. The Queen is the most likely to, which is just the nail in the coffin. Being above them inside of their hive negates this risk, though they have the same wall-climbing behaviour as Vanilla Spiders

Just raised reputation to 75 (high enough to trade and use a Myrmex Staff on that Colony) in 1.20.1 as of writing this. It can be done! But it's a right pain. Plus you're somewhat guaranteed to waste a few chunks of Resin

Feel the need to mention that 1.16.5 has had 2 bug updates in the last month (one was just yesterday). For anyone who plays 1.16.5. If you play 1.12 there isn't any mod support its just too old.

This world had all of the Desert Myrmex Queens die except for one directly under a Graveyard, and Ghosts only spawn at night. Trying to stay a good distance above the Myrmexes, at least for the Passive step, meant it would be easiest (considering the bug that they just almost completely refuse to pick the Resin up and knowing how long it could take) to temporarily use cheats to enable permanent day. This did not resolve the bug. It was still painful and probably took up to an hour

the bug doesn't exist the workers just don't pick up resin in the presence of an enemy,they didn't pick up the resin because you were nearby, if you were to toss the resin and leave they would have taken the resin
