The main dining room you were first eating in was covered as part of your cruise fair but you weren't even smart enough to ask. I never stay below deck 7 on a ship. Always download the hub and get familiar with the ship for all the 1st time cruisers. The hub will help you know what’s going on and to plan your day. Also research your destinations. Lido is the buffet and main dining is included

I absolutely LOVE cruising! 👏🏽 In fact, I’m getting ready to go on a 16 day transatlantic cruise ending in Barcelona. I can imagine had I not done any research on my very first cruise, including but not limited to asking family members, friends, and also the agent that booked the cruise for me(who stayed in contact with me until the cruise date) a bunch of questions to get information, as well as watching tons of videos, including but not limited to that ship layout, dining, activities, what’s included, what’s not included; I can imagine I probably would’ve had a not so great time also. However, because I did do all of these things I had an amazing time, and got addicted to cruising. 😂 Hopefully this won’t necessarily be a last time, but more of an eye-opener on what NOT to do if you choose to go on a second cruise. I’ve also solo cruised/traveled. There are so many options when you do a little research vs wing it, but HEY, I’m that person that checks out a menu before I go to a restaurant the first time. 😅

Conquest and its sisters ship maybe 20+ yr old but in cruise line standards it’s not. I’ve been on this ship and the other sister lines. I would recommend Carnival Horizon or Vista

My guy the dinning room is free food. There are stuff on the menu for a fee but mostly free. If this is a cruise longer than 5 days a solo cruiser might not find many other solo or single people on the ship from my experience. Buffet meals are very similar to what is offered in the dining room. You good

I'm from a regular cruising family, at least 3 times a year on Royal Caribbean or Virgin Voyages (Adults-only), so I enjoyed hearing the perspective of a 1st timer. Never been on Carnival ever so seeing their ship through your lens was interesting. Solo cruised many times and always had a blast. Definitely not for everyone but you will know after the first time if you're ever going back solo or otherwise. I personally am cruise addicted. lol! My parents been on a bunch of cruises. They said the carnival was one of their favorites lol they both black in the 60s and from Detroit tho. So they loved it. Their favorite was an all adult cruise and l think that’s why some of these carnival cruises be so bad to people. Too many kids. I don't drink and I always have fun but I'm a people person. You went on an old ship on a cheap cruise. You missed the sail away party. I don't know why first-time cruisers always try these short cheap cruises on the worst ships is the whole experience. If you spend a little more money to get in a newer ship with more options, you might possibly have a better time. I think it's better for first-time cruisers to go with an experienced cruiser. But you're right, it's not for everybody.

I went on the Carnival sunrise in April it’s basically the same ship as the conquest. I was bored. They don’t have enough activities to get into. The highlight of the trip was the islands we went to. But the ship itself is old and boring.

Thanks for this Video, And I DO Agree with you, 6 Of us went for my Birthday 9/23-27th , It Was NOT the Best experience in my opinion Either Savannah is the Best Cruise Director, I Did enjoy her during the sail away party, the food the 1st Day was Pretty Good, Guys Burgers was the Bomb, we set our Dinner overnight for 6:00 pm, it was hit and miss, But Not terrible, I was expecting to have Buffett all day everyday and all night every Night which was not the case, (Not that i can eat that much) But to hear people talk about it thats what i assumed. The people in the room beside us was EXACTLY as you Described the trip GHETTO all we heard the whole time was Fussing, Cussing, and Fighting, When talking to alot of people on the cruise who was expert cruisers. They to agreed that Conquest was one of the Cheapest Ships and also the Ghetto(ist)Sorry if that offends any one but the TRUTH is the Truth. The Activities was Not that fun, the trivia games was BORING, the Comedy show was just OK. the BEST Part of the 4 days was Elegant Night (in my opinion)they REALLY Need to come up with more fun activities for Everyone to want participate in, I Will Never Wanna choose this ship again.
