Game 2, I went for the Expulsion lock, but they stopped it with hand traps, but I was able to stop their plays with the rest of my board. Game 3, they went first. I was able to break their board, and then snowball them out of the game. ❌🎲 Rnd 2 vs Runick Naturia Draw 1-1 Game 1, they saw all 3 copies of the Naturia Reborn spell and ended on a pretty good board. I was able to break through the board and establish Skill Drain. Then Jet Dragon snowballed them out of the game. Game 2, they went first and got to Runick engine, Baronne and Nat Beast. I drew Dark Ruler and Pankratops and broke their board. Got rid of the field spell and established Skill Drain with a Maximus on board. I wasn't keeping track of time and match was called while I was playing out my turn. I could've gone to battle phase and attacked. ❌🎲 Rnd 3 vs Branded Despia Game 1, they were maining the Gimmick Puppet lock and I opened triple Nadir, double Albaz. Funnily enough, I might've still had a chance if I didn't forget my battle phase. Game 2, I made them go first and they kept in the Gimmick Puppet lock. They recycled it with Retribution, but Nadir getting me to Ecclesia kept me into the game. They were chipping at me until they hit over a stone and left me at 100 life points. I summoned Blue-Eyes in the end phase and went into Tyrant on my turn and OTK'D them. Time was called soon after. ❌🎲 Rnd 4 vs Branded Despia Loss 1-0 We both rolled a 4 four times in a row. Then I rolled snake eyes. Had a lot of back and forth, but alas. Time rules. v_v ✅🎲 Rnd 5 vs Traptrix Win 2-0 Tyrant is unaffected by traps and has 3400. Quick 2-0 ✅🎲 Rnd 6 vs Adventure Synchron Win 2-0 My opponent knew who I was! They ended on Baronne, Herald, Griffin, Accel Synchro into Stardust and Satellite Warrior. I broke their board with my in hand engine, then activated Triple Tactics Thrust and picked up Branded Fusion, then ended on Mirrorjade, Retribution, Fleur. My opponent got a slow play warning for taking too long to play on turn 3. We were given a 3 minute time extension. They went into Black Rose, but I negated it with Fleur. I won next turn. Game 2, they started to combo and I changed Dogwood to Griffin effect to Special. They used the rest of their cards to get to Baronne. On my turn, I used Sales Ban to turn off the Baronne, then normal summoned Albaz to fuse it away. I then activated Branded Fusion to make Albion, then used Albion to make Alba Lenatus. Used Mirrorjade to banish the Token, then attacked for 8k. ✅🎲 Rnd 7 vs Bystial Dragon Link Win 2-0 I got hand trapped a bunch, but eventually won in the grind game. Game 2, my opponent burned themself with Chaos Emperor and time ran out during their combo. ✅🎲 Rnd 8 vs Bystial Dragon Link Win 2-0 Game 1, I opened Skill Drain, Called by, Superpoly. OTK'D. Game 2, they ended on Borrelend + Savage + D Barrier. OTK'd them. ❌🎲 Rnd 9 vs Dracoslayer Win 2-1 I got wombo combo'd to sleep game 1. Game 2, I flipped Skill Drain. Game 3, I drew Dogwood.

I agree Blue-Eyes Tyrant Dragon is amazing. It doesn't surprise me you were able to turn the duel in your favor and proceed to win. I feel it's an underutilized card with most Blue-Eyes players. I get confused when people say that Blue eyes is unplayable and that it sucks. I think what blue eyes decks do you play against? To this day Blue eyes is still my favorite Arc-type. And it's great to see her over 20 years later getting same love as Legend of the Blue-Eyes White Dragon set.

If you had cartesia and fusion deployment what cards would you cut from this current main to make it a reasonable deck count? I also wanted to add branded beast because of the interaction with jet dragon where you tribute jet off a beast, pop a card, and then the tributed jet comes back but the deck becomes so crowded at this point

Not a huge difference. It was just another target for High Spirits. Effectively just Upstart Goblin. You can potentially summon it when pushing for damage though. Cartesia is definitely better

Ok, I'm starting to see how handy Branded in High Spirits can be. I'm really curious how Cartesia would work in the deck. Also, I wish TTThrust wasn't so expensive too. Haha I am confused about Ra's Disciple. When/If you side it in, how would you use it against your opponent exactly? Is there something I'm missing here? Awesome deck profile as usual and so cool that you got Blue-Eyes that high in the event!

Branded Expulsion summons Ra's Disciple to your opponent’s field. They can no longer play Yugioh v_v Side it in when you're choosing to go first against decks that special summon. Cartesia is another resource loop that helps maintain your card advantage since she adds herself back in the end phase similar to Branded in High Spirits. She's also another way to fusion summon, and on a Quick effect, so she can help you dodge targeted effect Negation. Dusk Dragon's effect helps put the Dragons in grave etc

Kaiba only played 3 lol When almost every engine card in the deck gets you to a Blue-eyes monster, and Blue-eyes is going to be on every end board ideally, yes It's safe to call it a Blue-eyes deck.

Go first and lock them out of the game lmao If they banish the vanilla facedown, you have no way of recovering it, but since you have access to your other engines, it's not an auto loss. For the most part, like most decks in the game right now, if your entire deck gets banished facedown, you will lose the game. But most experienced Kash players will not go for that combo since it plays into basically every side card in existence. (The reason I didn't run into any Kash is because most of them were doing that combo and they lost very early and dropped.) If they end on just Ariseheart pass, you go for Lubellion into Titaniklad, which will then be able to hit over the Ariseheart and be unaffected by its effect to banish. After you've dealt with Ariseheart, you just prevent the opponent from getting reestablished. All of that being said, Kashtira is definitely a bad matchup with a low Win rate if they win the die roll. But if you Win the die roll and go first, your turn 1 board is not something they can consistently play through (monster Negation and board clear), and post side you have access to the Ra's Disciple lock against a deck that needs to Special Summon to do anything relevant.

had a tiny locals in my town and a kid there had a high tech hero deck, this was more than 5 years ago or something, but lost their shyt when my opponent destroyed my card and i dropped Deep eyes white dragon and dealt 4800 damage, it was a blue eyes guardragon deck elpy wasnt banned yet so massing dragon gy wasnt hard lol

@@Devpaddio That's the problem with it. It's only decent. These are cards that require you to deckbuild around them and the payoff for doing so is only "decent" most of the time. Alternative is a good card that has a good effect on paper, but in practice, most of the time it does the same thing as the vanilla while being significantly harder to summon. Alternative Ultimate is a very powerful card, even in today's format, but it is simply too difficult to summon consistently to be worth playing.

This misconception is actually one of the main reasons people lose to the deck! The Win condition of the deck is Jet Dragon control, supplemented by the Branded Fusion engine. Players would assume it's "just Branded" and side accordingly, and would get bopped by Jet Dragon coming back every turn lol
