How can one box be worth so much more that the most expensive card in the set? The market value of the most expensive charizard is only $50. You could buy every single card in the set separately for cheaper than 1 box. Ridiculous.

I think its because of the throwback to opening base set, still don't think its worth it but I would say that's a big factor in the value

It’s that way with many sports cards sets as well. 2011 Topps Update for example, $6,000 box and even if you pull the best card in a PSA 10, the Mike Trout rookie, that card is worth about $3,000. Many people buy sealed product to keep sealed as an investment and that along with people just liking to open old packs drives the price up.

I had amazing luck with it when I opened. I had two boxes, which gave me all the good full arts. Good holos aswell. Sadly I was young, and lost the good ones :( Maybe the base cards will be valuable in the future, (doubt) lots of great memories with this set.

Agreed! But sealed things are worth more money because it is sealed. If you want the card set it will be cheaper because the collective value is lower, unless the cards are graded mint or higher

Since getting back into collecting pokemon cards just in the last few recent month, and really just getting online and looking back into everything they have released ever since I was way younger and collecting cards as a kid.. it really is a beautiful history and seriously gets me that much more excited to keep my collection dreams going. I have just soo much I wanna aquire within due time... seriously I gotta keep telling myself to " pace yourself.. PACE YOURSELF DUDE! " bc I all reality, can ANY collector whose really about it actually get everything they want that's worth time get everything they want just instantly?!?... absolutely NOT! LOL.. I instantly came to realization that for 1) this is gonna take time, which I'm ok with bc it just adds to the history of this journey and gives myself appreciation for the hardworking put in to acquire the collection I'm building and 2) like I just mentioned, it's gonna take lots of money, which I'm also ok with. Can't forget that the "ADULT ME" in-freakin-deed does have bills that can't be ignored, alll because I wanna buy this RIGHT HERE!!~~ this EVOLUTIONS BOOSTER BOX!!~~~ ALL I GOTTA SAY THO, as a semi-new/getting back at it trainer, I mark my words!!..... I WILL aquire this BEAUTIFUL EVOLUTIONS BOOSTER BOX. Lastly, to finish my spoken collectors dreams I just shared with whoever and Poke'rev ,, my plan to add to getting this Booster Box is getting that first one ( which I plan on once I get it to tape and post it live , probably on FB and instagram) , but after getting that hopefully successfully done , I'm not stopping there and ima buy a 2nd one of them ASA-MF-POSSIBLE !!!!
