So cute. I'm on 3 years with mine. They absolutely love me. But if I dare touch them, I would get shredded. I use a long pole. They play with it. 3 tolerate my pole pets. Only 3 out of 30. 😂😂 The rest get highly offended and look at me like a peasant.. 😂😂

Plenty of raccoons in Maryland, and plenty of managed outdoor kitties or colonies as well. Cats and coons seem to get along quite well and share 'round here 😉

Get some grapes. Raccoons absolutely them. That one is obviously pretty comfortable with you, so after you throw him some he'll probably eventually just come take them right from your hand. In my experience the best way to get a raccoon comfortable is to let them come to you. One thing I've learned is they don't like being stared at. If I'm watching them eat I'll be 10-15 feet away checking my phone, reading a book, or just looking at the sky sometimes. That tells them I'm not threatened by them and aren't a threat _to_ them; we can each go about our business. They're so curious there' a good chance they'll come take a closer look at you...especially if you have grapes.

@BiggieTrismegistus thank you for the suggestion on grapes! The raccoons are at a client's house, so I don't get to see them often enough to really make friends. This was a young one. If they were on my property, I'd have tons of friends and would definitely feed them, and grapes 😊

Merci de vos renseignements , c'est merveilleux l'entente avec les animaux... Ce n'est pas toujours le cas en France avec le massacres de splendides cerfs cet hiver, loups et ours sont mal aimés heureusement il y a les défenseurs des animaux mais c'est une goutte d'eau dans l'océan. Yeah and feeding them is probably not recommended either. Animals that lose their fear of humans can become big problems.

@maestro-zq8gu I am actually not feeding them intentionally, there is a colony of managed cats on this property. The raccoons come for the cat food (or trash cans, which we have to lock down).... It is just this way....
